Very dated. Checked out early.
Posted Oct. 28, 2024 on HomeAwayAlthough the location was convenient on the outskirts of Rotorua and the place was clean and the kitchen well supplied, it didn't meet our expectations of a typical VRBO that we have stayed at in the past. The decor was dated, the carpet was old (but very suitable for families with children), there were chips in the paint on the woodwork, the befriend were small and the bathrooms were so tiny that it was riduculous. The ensuite sink was almost impossible to use it was so small. And the mirror on the wall prevented you from accessing the back of the small sink. There is a good reason for the name Sun Trap too. Unless you have the blackout blinds pulled down, the living room becomes extremely hot in the evenings. The one ductless heat pump/air conditioner is located in the hallway outside of the bedrooms and never effectively cools the large oddly shaped living room. We, two older couples, would never stay here again. In fact, we checked out a day early.

Posted Sep. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayHad a great stay here. Beautiful home with lovely well kept garden. Plenty of space to lounge around. Close to the Whakarewarewa forrest for mountain biking. Will definitely book here for our next trip to Rotorua.

Warm and inviting
Posted Jul. 14, 2024 on HomeAwayHouse was warm and snuggly, three ensuites/bathrooms toilets, comfy beds, extra blankets available, fireplace was lovely, spa was clean and a good temperature. Seemed like it was a nice suburb. Good location. Highly recommend. The house had everything you needed and was very clean. Great for a winter family getaway and so much to do in Rotorua. Loved it for Matariki weekend.

Wonderful spot for a getaway

House was clean tidy and well presented with everything you might need. Great outdoor areas and fully fenced so it was safe for our toddler to explore.
Nice location in a 10-15 min drive to most attractions. We didn't use the spa or bbq so no review on those aspects.

Beautiful home
Posted Oct. 23, 2023 on HomeAwayPerfect place to stay for a few days in Rototua. We had 9 people fit quite comfortably. Only small thing was lack of cooking supplies for making meals for such a large family. Otherwise it was great.
