Good and Bad
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was in a convenient location and beautiful. We are familiar with Salida after living in the area for many years. We came with family for assistance in getting our cabin ready to sell. Although the property is aesthetically nice there are some 'areas' of concern. The most important is the hazard surrounding the fireplace. Four family members tripped over the rock in front of the furnace. My husband tripped and sustained a horrible fall. He is on a blood thinner and fortunately did not hit his head. He has three broken toes and a sprained wrist. Our suggestion is to consider removing this 'hazard' The other small things pale in comparison. Don and Donna Newsom

Hello Don and Donna, thank you for the feedback and sorry you had such bad experience at the property. We certainly hope your husband is OK. In 4 years of renting this property we have rarely ran in to any issues with the rock around the fireplace. It was installed there so that guests would not bump in to a hot fireplace. We will see how best to remedy the situation for future guests. I truly wish you would have reached out to us during your stay and perhaps we could've placed something in the way so that no one tripped on the stone fireplace trim during your stay.

Great mountain views
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed the close proximity to town but far enough out to enjoy great mountain views and peaceful moments. The home had everything we needed to enjoy time together as a family and also space to spread out and wind down after some busy days.

Great place and amazing views
Publié le 25 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was perfect for what we were looking for. It was the perfect location to explore lots of nearby towns and adventures. Beautiful mountain views in every direction.
Some of the inside felt a little odd. As someone who is detail oriented, the paint was sloppy, the decor felt random, and some of the spaces just felt thrown together. For example, many of the rooms you had to step down into and then back up into the bathrooms. One of the bathrooms you nearly fall out of when you open the door from the toilet. The inside could use some fixing up, but overall nice, clean place.

Great stay for our family ski trip

Fun n the snow

The 360 degree views of the mountains were fantastic as was the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. We will definitely come back!
