The cabin is secluded, quiet, and peaceful. The views are just like described in the description. Location is just far enough out of town to be convenient. Host was super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

Great Time in Helen

My friend and I wanted to visit Helen and we stayed in this cabin for the weekend. The cabin is well kept, cozy, comfortable and the view from the deck is beautiful. It was very close to downtown Helen. We had a wonderful time and Louise is a great host! We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Helen.

We’ll be back!

My parents and I (and our dog) absolutely loved our stay at Sasquatch Hideout and should have extended our stay, we didn’t want to leave! The view from the deck was breathtaking, our mornings were spent there with coffee and cocoa enjoying the serenity and the view. The house exceeded our expectations (those mattresses are amazing!). It had everything we needed, the location is close to many activities but also secluded in a beautiful neighborhood. Louise was a great host and the checkin process was a breeze. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay in the mountains in the fall. The colors were beautiful. It was a good location to many things we had planned to do. I was expecting a little newer place from the pictures, so I think the pictures of the house may have been taken when it was newer. You may want to get a new coffee pot. It didn’t work correctly and the mattress on one of the beds needs replacing. There was no coffee which is usually provided at most rentals, at least for the first day. I was having a hard time getting the emails to open due to having to have a code. Impossible from a phone, but Louise texted me with the information needed to get in. She was very nice.

Georgie, Sorry your expectations weren’t met. The photos were updated 18 months ago when we remodeled the deck. Not sure what you mean by the coffee pot not working, the guests who checked in right after you said they had no issues with it. We frequently get compliments on how comfortable the beds are. The mattresses are 3 years old. A list of items provided is sent to each guest, coffee is not listed. Not sure what you mean about having a code for emails, it sounds like that is a device operation as other guests have not mentioned a need for a code for VRBO platform. Glad you enjoyed the area and the beautiful changing of the leaves. Safe Travels

Relaxing Experience at Hide Away

The property and service exceeded our expectations. Once we returned home, my wife stated "we need to do that again". Great and relaxing trip.

Great Stay

This was a great cabin with beautiful views! Everything we needed was there. The beds were super comfortable, and the showers were great. We had no problems whatsoever. We would definitely stay there again! PS The Corner Grill and Catering was a delicious place to eat breakfast.
