I will never rent a Vacasa-managed property again!
When we arrived at the home we were not able to enter. We had to call Vacasa to get a new code for the door lock. When we arrived, the house was fine, but after closer inspection, we found it was not very clean. The sheets and comforters had dirt, leaves, stains, and hair on them. The woodwork was dirty. The cloth couch had stains that looked like blood. We were also unable to get access to the laundry closet. The listing had a photo of laundry and had laundry listed as being offered. I called Vacasa about both of these things. We were just told that we weren't able to use the laundry and that they would have the local agents contact us about bringing clean sheets. I never heard from the local agents the entire time we were there despite calling every day. We ended up finding a set of sheets for one bed but my kids ended up using blankets we had brought with us to sleep on top of the comforters because they were so grossed out by the sheets. The decor was out of date and lacking, and the furniture was uncomfortable. The cottage has a lot of potential and could be very cute and nice if the beds and furniture were updated with comfort in mind. Also, a washer and dryer is very important to families. It also would have solved the dirty sheet problem. I continued to call Vacasa and was eventually 4 days after our trip was completed offered a $400 refund for our trouble which equaled to a little over one nights stay. We ended up leaving a night early anyway.
