Chambre vieillotte, mais globalement propre. La salle de bain beaucoup moins propre, rideau de douche très sale et les murs mériteraient un bon lessivage. La piscine a été inaccessible pendant 4 jours car l'eau avait tourné. La solution a mis du temps à être trouvée... Personnel sympathique mais pas toujours spécialisé dans la tâche qui lui est attribuée... Restaurant: déco tristounette, il serait tellement plus agréable de manger en extérieur dans la partie lounge qui sert peu... Mais agréable séjour globalement, très calme, repos assuré et magnifique plage à 300 m. Bon rapport qualité prix.

poorly maintained property with poor service. really noisy air con, needed to switch it off. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to stay in

Most of the staff were nice, but the single female staff member was less than empathetic with the issues that were faced by guests. On my last day, I had checked out in the morning and had left my bags in the storage until I was ready to leave for the airport in the evening. This particular female staff member insisted that I booked until the following day and told the guard to not call me a taxi until I had to get worked up and asked her what the problem was? She asked why I didn’t want to stay for their new year gala, which is totally not relevant! I didn’t have to justify why I checked out on that day! I had to go back to my family. That and the horrible, barely existent wifi were the main issues I encountered. Being a very basic villa, you will of course notice a funny smell permeating in the room/bathroom mix of cleaning agent, insecticide and urine, the occasional bug bite at night (not bed bugs though, thank goodness!), not being able to take towels to the beach, key getting stuck in keyhole of door, just to name a few. Breakfast included and bar were good though. You get what you pay for. The upside is that the beach is about a 7-10 minute walk away.

The gala dinner was nothing at all.that was like family get to gather.very chip musical event.Our 31 Dec event was flushed out.Destroyed chance to celebrate new year event actually.worst experience.very chip value for money.

Good Hotel Near Beach

Beach is very peaceful, not crowded.
I would recommend to those want to relax and remain away from crowd and noice. Its beautiful.

Quite Isolated
Publié le 4 mars 2016 sur HotelsHad booked 3 standard rooms for 3 nights, but the Resort upgraded us and put us together in one block that consisted of a suite, a luxury room and a standard room. Over-all, it was an okayish experience. Were unable to view all the proper listing of all the channels on TV (luxury room) and inspite of informing the Resort, nothing was done till we checked out. Also, one of the A/C's were not cooling properly. Property has been refurbished (taken over by Royal Orchid Hotels Group about 4 months ago), so it's relatively clean, but a little more detail to cleanliness could make this place even better. Restaurant not all that great for Goan food, Indian food is fine (probably a result of the chef's preference). Breakfast was quite good though.
The staff are an asset and are polite and do their best to please the guest. This was a huge positive for the Resort.
A vehicle is required to get to any place, although, the beach is a 5min walk and is part of the 20km long beach stetch of South Goa. Quite a few decent food joints available within a short distance from the hotel, but just a couple of beach shacks within walking distance where open. As mentioned earlier, if mobile, quite a few shacks will be found further away.
In a nut-shell, it was an okay to good 3 nights stop-over. And value for money.

Hotel Taxi Mafia !!!!

Pour : Nice pool, rooms and good ground keeper / gardens well maintained. Daryll at breakfast, always with a smile and great service.
Contre : Transport. even a shuttlebus to Benaulim / Colva for the evening or day for shopping, I would be happy to contribute to the cost of it. House keeping.
Emplacement : Beautiful local beach, 5 min walk. Clean and natural, great little beach shacks, try Jammys, and the massage house behind their beach shack..........
Recently stayed. Problems with taxi, firstly it did not come to collect us from airport as arranged by the hotel, waited for 1.5 hours after an 18 hour journey, took airport taxi which cost 780 rupee, fixed price, well organised....hotel taxi asked for 2000 rupee !!!!!. Hotel a bit isolated, Same taxi company demanding 700 rupee for 10 minute ride to Benaulim, should only be 200 - 250. On return to airport had to use hotel taxi, as our pre-arranged local driver cancelled last minute due to that he was afraid of threats & repercusions. Like wise the local beach shacks are afraid of this hotel taxi mafia, as they have had threats & reprisals in the past. Anyway now forced to use the hotel taxi to take us to the airport. The car has been parked in the sun all day, and was like an oven. The driver refused to put the air conditioning on....in the end I had to get out of the car, to breath, and refused to get in it until it had cooled down. The driver then shouted at me for the next 20 minutes,,,not impressed !! Until I mentioned that I would take it up with Royal Orchid head office, which I shall.....this needs to be urgently addressed. Hotel staff overall very friendly, although more training and consistency is needed in housekeeping, bar,.and food. Daryll was very efficient and professional. So are the girls on the front desk. Clearly more training is needed otherwise could be a great hotel.......and sort out that taxi company ASAP linked to your hotel.
