Great location
Publié le 8 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely stay here. We came to do college tours and started our trip early. We came on the tails of hurricane Helene from Asheville. This was a lovely vacation and beautiful spot. Thank you!

First renters of the season
Publié le 26 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWithin a few minutes of getting here, it was somewhat obvious that we were the first renters for the year. Construction had just finished from the nails that the crew decided to leave in the parking lot area (the guy from Bryant did get a magnet and run it around to clean up after the crew. I don't feel like this is a reflection of Bryant as they shouldn't have to babysit construction crews. Screens were out of a few of the windows but wasn't all that bad, probably more renovations planned. The few pieces of small dead insects on the beds were what clued me in to the place staying without renters for a few months. We rented this place out of season and because of that, I forgave a lot of what I found due to them allowing us to interrupt the renovations to stay there. I very much recommend the place as being right on the water was amazing for views, access and relaxing to the sound. Once they finish renovating and are back in the swing of things, I'm sure the property will be consistently kept in great condition. I'm not the biggest fan of salt water but staying here still had me imagining how great it would be to own a property next to the ocean.

Ants Everywhere
Publié le 6 août 2023 sur HomeAwayUpon arriving we immediately noticed tons of ants in the kitchen and living room. We observed ant traps on the floors, so they were already aware of the problem. We immediately made management aware of the issue and they did send someone out to spray, but it did not help at all. We could not bring in any food to the unit and canceled our stay and left early due to the ants. We even sent them videos of how bad it was. I asked for a refund of one night plus 20% off the 2 nights we actually stayed. All they provided was a $50 refund. Beware. The pics look great, but it's not a good place to stay. The unit also had a lot of clutter and junk everywhere.

Last day.
Publié le 16 août 2020 sur HomeAwayWe had to leave one day early, we got up early and there were two huge cockroaches in the beach house. It was the most disgusting thing ever. We also had to put up w ants in the bathroom and the kitchen sink all week. Thank goodness the weather was mostly nice the whole time so we could spend time outside.

Hi Susan, thank you for your review. I am sorry you experienced an issue on your last day with roaches. Unfortunately, when you have a house on the beach, these unwanted visitors can still find a way in no matter how often you spray - it is all about control. It is not an uncommon problem for southeastern North Carolina, and is not linked to this house directly but more to the climate of the area. I do not see any records of maintenance requests or reports about the ants - but had we known we could have come out to spray and quickly correct the situation. We always want to ensure our guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay! We hope you choose to stay with us again next time you are in Wrightsville, and we can better pair your family with a different property if desired. Take care!

Rusty Deck Be Careful

-we did Not have hot water for 3 days.
-most of the light bulbs were dead in the house.
- water pressure is very poor.
-the paths and gardens in the back are over grown and scratch you up if you want to walk to the beach.
-there are rusty old nails all over the deck and and with the age of the nails it’s just going to continue to get worse. It is very dangerous.
-I had two people step on these rusty nail heads and cut there feet.

Thank you so much for the feedback, we are sorry you had hot water issues during your stay. We wish you would have contacted us prior to your departure though. We were able to rebuild the water heater (element was bad) the same day and address this issue. We realize that with Covid-19, many people did not want us in the homes during the stay. With that being said, we were glad we were able to connect with you eventually and provide consideration. The time this occurred we were quite backed up as our industry stopped functioning, and then over night, everyone wanted to travel and it took time for our staff to return. We look forward to facilitating your next escape in a much smoother experience!!

Christmas at the Beach
