This is a nice hotel. The pool and beach are nice and the restaurants are good. The room was spacious. There is construction going on next door and our room wasn't ready when promised. Shawn provided excellent service and really made a great impression compared to the rest of the service that was average. Alex from the bar was also super.

Overall I was disappointed with this property considering the costly daily rate. I expected a much more sophisticated and luxurious experience. There was no conceirge; that task was left to the people behind the check-in desk and luggage runner. The restaurant at the hotel was mediocre at best. I ordered a drink and after 25 min and multiple requests i finally received it in a dirty glass and there were other issues with the meal that day. My main disappointment was with the room i reserved. The picture on the website had a beautiful oceanfront view with balcony, but instead i received a "construction view" and a partial view of both the ocean and intercontinental. After my complaint to the GM, I noticed the picture on the website was changed to a more realistic depiction of the view from the room they said we booked (which we didn't). The revised picture still does not include the lot which is full of construction and not nearly completed and a lot of noise. Thankfully, they finally moved us into the correct room halfway thru our stay. I feel this property is not worth the money and I would choose somewhere else on my next trip to Ft. lauderdale. However it is directly across the street from the beach (beach umbrellas are $30/day and not included in the resort fee). The rooms and hallways were clean, however we did have small ants in the room. I also would have appreciated being treated in a more respectful manner with some of the staff that i dealt with.
