This is one of the most outstanding hotels that I've ever visited, and the only hotel I've stayed at three times over. Stunning building, unbelievably friendly family at the helm, absolutely everything catered for, delicious breakfasts, brill facilities and amazing surroundings. The best of the best!
beautiful quiet location. We were greeted by extremely welcoming hosts, full on English breakfast , also offer dinner options on request, Our room was very spacious and had a very comprehensive book assembled by the owners of local points of interest and restaurants. would definitely stay if we return to Wales
The grounds and property were impressive and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered a wide range of food and drink.
The King-size bedroom as well presented and comfortable. located on the ground floor there are some outside sounds eg in corridors . however most of the time it is quiet and serene.
An absolute gem and I cannot recommend it highly enough. So many thoughtful touches and a beautiful property. My room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was freshly made and lots of choice. The owners really care about what they are doing and it shows. I will definitely be back for a longer stay. Easy to find, lots of free parking and so much to do in this lovely part of the world.
What an impressive castle! Beautiful to drive up to, incredible service, fun to walk through and every accomdation as a hotel. Close to the major attractions in the northern part of Wales. Stewart and Susan are lovely! Thank you! A beautiful experience to add to our time in Wales.
We checked in without a hitch but fast realised that the Covid rules were still in place with hand sanitizers everywhere. There were cobwebs galore at the side of the reception desk. Our room was Hemingway was on the top floor. The owner did take a suitcase up the 3 flights of stairs. We were directed to the guestbook of ‘house rules ‘ for further information about the hotel. The room was large and airy and had a super king bed, it was lovely. However when we to close the curtains both sides of one panel was torn on both sides therefore did not keep the light out. I asked the lady of the house to have a look and try to repair while we were out all day but on our return it had not been touched, very disappointed. I asked at breakfast did they have a problem with the curtain and so was told they had to order some rings? The bathroom was also large with a sunken bath although due to house rules we could not use after 9pm due to no hot water.
If you are staying more than one night and you require your bed made and towels refreshed, you will incur extra charges.
Basic room refresh £5 with a change of towels charged at an additional £5.
Full refresh, change of towels and bedding will be charged at £15.
The breakfast on both mornings was gorgeous although they do need a lesson how to poach eggs as they were hard, the scrambled was amazing. There was plenty of variety to choose from.
Here on business , fantastic location and a stunning property.
The owners were so welcoming and made me feel at home
The " Florence " room was stunning abd spacious
Wlyld recommend this to anybody - business or pleasure.
A lovely house run by a lovely couple! We really enjoyed our stay here - the owners are very friendly and helpful, the food was really nice and the house is brilliant - a historic gem of a building with excellent facilities. Convenient for Bodnant Gardens, Rhos-on-Sea and Conwy.
This property is owned by a lovely couple, who do everything to make your stay memorable and wonderful.
My wife and I were welcomed like old friends and our room was well presented.
The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in Quito. The bathroom although small, had everything you could need, including an wonderful shower.
A lovely experience! The house is beautifully furnished in keeping with its age. The hosts were friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent.
