I stay in a lot of hotels 30+ per year. While the Crown and Thistle was an okay hotel. Thats exactly what it is for the price. OKAY

Had a great stay. Helpful staff, parking was a bonus. Excellent breakfast choices. Some areas near bedrooms in hotel side looking a bit tired. Wasn’t keen on basin being in bedroom not bathroom due to lack of space Overall great value and would return

The hotel is near the town centre in a lovely old quaint building. The decor is a little worn but the facilities are clean and very well equipped and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Bed and bath were both very nice

The condition of the hotel was extremely tired. Carpets on the stairs, paintwork was really bad. Had the bridal suite and the mattress was terrible. Not what we were expecting sadly.

The room definitely needed an overhaul! Paint peeling off walls. Very compact bathroom. Also very noisy pipe work affecting sleep. However lovely dining area, considerate staff and great breakfast.
