Passover holiday
We stayed at the Akko Gate Hostel during the generally packed Passover holiday. The staff was very friendly and helped with everything we needed. The room was spacious, but pretty basic with minimum amenities (no towels or soap for example). It did have a great balcony overlooking the street. The location is in the old city which makes the hotel close to everything, but that comes at the price of a noisy environment (in our opinion, well worth it).
Overall, I recommend staying here.
Great stay. You can’t beat the location- everything is just minutes away . Great food and restaurants around the area. People are very friendly. And the receptionist Waleed was hospitable and very professional- gave us a room w balcony . Will definitely book again
Toliet seat was broken. Tv did not work. Dirty blankets. We’re not fussy people and can handle a bit of grit but this was disappointing. It was a safe hotel in a good location though.

Okay for just staying
This is a very bare bones hostel, with uneven rooms, okay beds, and so-so bathrooms. It’s clean at least, and very close to the main areas in Acre.
I enjoyed our stay. I knew it was a Hostel and so my expectations going in were not high, but they had everything we needed for the right price. I would recommend it if you are looking for a good place to crash for the night. Great location for seeing the sights of Acre, Israel.

Fine After Some Miscommunication
I booked two spaces in a shared room with three bunk beds. The stay would have been fine, except I was told at check in that I still needed to pay. I showed my confirmation, which stated that I had already paid in full. Eventually it worked out, but the language barrier and attitude of the manager made the process worse than it needed to be.
After that, the stay was fine. It's a standard hostel and the cheapest option for such a prime location in Akko.
