Most money I've ever spent on a hotel room, and it was the worst room I've ever stayed in.
The car park is limited and we had to find out the hard way that our car was too big to fit in the parking complex.
The room stank when we first entered. The carpet was sticky on barefeet, our window was blocked out and when opened let out to air-conditioner ducts that made noise all night. Shower curtain had red dirty splashes on it.
The staff were friendly but definitely would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.
Beds uncomfortable and pillows
Bathroom old rundown
Lights not working in room
A lot of noise and entrance of motel covered in gangs fighting
No carpark area
Stunk in hallway of dope and cigarettes
Not good environment for asthmatic people or young children very unsafe
Never again. The mattress was torn and filthy brown - it looked like they got it off the street. It also had eggs in the seams. I didn’t see any bed bugs so I don’t know what insect they were from. Disgusting, man. The bath also had a step inside it that was right underneath the shower head so it was dangerous just having a shower because you had to stand half on and half off the step. The hot water would suddenly turn ice cold. The toilet was not the cleanest. Holes in the walls all over the place. Not a nice hotel. Looked like a conversion from a hostel. Part of the door knob on the inside of the room was loose. No housekeeping or new towels our entire stay of 4 nights. No toilet paper in room. Had to ask.
Pros: Reception staff lovely and water pressure in shower amazing.
This is an old and very tired building. The room I was initially given was large but window looked out onto a narrow space with air conditioners right outside the window which where very noisy. I asked to move and was given another room on fifth floor, good service. Lifts where out for the whole two days I was there but that was Ok for me because I'm fit. Other people struggled with this though. The room had frosted reinforced glass windows so I cou'dn;t see out and they where screwed shut. Two pains where smashed but no air flow throgh then so that was OK. lots of weirdness in ther room liker scorch marks on bedside tables, light fittings which clearly were not attached properly but the bed sheets where clean and the bed comfortable, room was quiet, apart from a lot of street noise early in the evening and early morning, I slept reasonably well but was woken early by noise outside both days. It just feels old and desperately in need of a refurbishment and it wasn't really that cheap compared to Ibis and other more modern hotels. I wouldn't stay there again if I had a choice
Staying at this hotel was such a smooth experience! From the time I arrived at the front desk in the morning and being able to check in early to the time I picked up my bags late after check out the staff there were absolutely fantastic!
Yes the building is older and it does show a little but the rooms are comfortable, clean and easy to access! It had been a couple years since my last stay in Adelaide but for a budget stay this was my favourite place in the centre of the CBD
This was below average considering I booked the “deluxe” family room. The room was clean but it had a weird old, musty smell which was worse when you put the aircon on. Climbing into the shower over the “spa” was quite dangerous as there’s no hand rails to grab or hold on to. The worst part of the stay was that the elevator was being revamped and not working and we were on the 5th floor. We weren’t told about it or pre warned and had to pull clothes out of suitcase to carry up as the case was too heavy.
