Located between central Adelaide and Glenelg Beach - 5kms . Close to showgrounds. A quiet suburban street with quick access to Cross Road, South Road & Anzac Highway giving easy access to other destinations including Adelaide Hills (Stirling, Hahndorf, Cleland, Mt Lofty) Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale Wineries or a day trip to Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Pt Elliott, Kangaroo Island Ferry. It’s also practical for those stays where you need access to Flinders Medical Centre/University, Ashford Hospital and the RAH. Popular for events at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

We do charge an extra cleaning fee and apologise for having to do so but it costs us $45-$55 per hour and for a house of this size it does take time to fully clean, change/wash ALL the linen including doona covers for each stay. It takes at least 3hrs to clean the house depending on condition of home, number of guests, make up beds, tidy the deck and we are able to do some work ourselves, therefore not charging the full cost to you. We don’t profit from the cleaning fee.

Many public transport options nearby including Buses and the nearby Adelaide Tram. The Tram is a tourist's friend and is the most economical and direct mode of transport, stopping at many of Adelaide's tourist destinations and sporting events. 15 minutes to the city or Glenelg Beach. Direct route to Glenelg beach, Adelaide Showgrounds (3 stops), Adelaide Central Market, Rundle Mall, Festival Centre, Adelaide Cricket Grounds, the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, Universities and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Perfect transport for travel to Adelaide's East end - ideal for Festival Goers to access the Garden of Unearthly Delights, North Terrace, Botanic Park, Art Gallery, Museum and the Zoo.

New Playground (see last photo) and BBQ facilities only 1 minute walk from the home. Cyclists will find The Mike Turtur Bikeway close by.

Casual eating is within a 5 minute walk at The Village Baker – very popular on the weekend for breakfast and lunch and has won awards for their Vanilla Slice. If you like south Indian food then choose Chapati House or Miss Mai Vietnamese Eatery or Amigo's Pizzeria.

Beckman Street Cafe is within a few minutes’ walk and is open for breakfast. 20 minute walk (or 5 mins by car) is your local - the Avoca Hotel or The Highway. 5 minutes walk to buy essential grocery items - open 7 days until late is an X-Convenience store where you can buy a great coffee & petrol for your car. 5 minute drive or 15 minutes walk is a large shopping area at the Kurralta Central Shopping Centre with 24 specialty stores including Kmart, banking options, many coffee shops, bottle shop, Chemist and a large Coles Supermarket grocery store for all your food shopping needs. A new Aldi has opened up too, within a 5 minute drive.


Pick up some fresh market produce at the Adelaide Central Market. The Adelaide Showgrounds has the popular Sunday Farmer’s Market which is only 3 tram stops or 5 minute drive.

The new outdoor deck is popular with adults and children. It’s a calming retreat to relax and listen to the twittering of birds while having a nice cool drink or watching the kids play in the good sized rear garden. It's a perfect spot to sit to have a meal too as there is a separate outdoor dining table for when the weather is fine.

Off season rates and rates for two people sharing the main bedroom are very competitive. Portacot and highchair available by prior arrangement.

What a Gem
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - this quaint 3 bdrm home was perfect for our needs - very comfortable and warm for the miserable weather over our stay. The perfect home away from home
We had such a wonderful stay in Adelaide, made all the more perfect by our accomodation. Kris’s house was just perfect, with a lovely garden, awesome air conditioning which was needed in 40 degree weather and all the kitchen amenities needed for a short stay. Topped off by some lovely festive goodies for our stay, thanks Kris. The towels were hotel quality, beds super comfy and we loved the deck and outdoor furniture for breakfast in the morning. Kris has supplied lots of brochures and pamphlets of all things you can do in Adelaide which we found really helpful to plan out our days. Communication with Kris was excellent and he went out of his way to give us an earlier check in on our day of arrival, which was 38 degrees outside and so hot! We arrived to an incredibly chilled, air-conditioned house - thank you! Glandore is in an awesome location, 10 mins to Central Adelaide (definitely recommend the markets!), 15 min tram ride to Glenelg , 30 mins to Hahndorf, Mc Laren Vale and an hour to Victor Harbor. All places we visited and highly recommend. The beaches around the Wine Coast are just beautiful and the water was so clear and sand so soft! We loved our stay in Adelaide, our first trip to this wonderful city and look forward to coming back again soon and staying here again. Thanks again, Kris.

Perfect home away from home
We stayed 9 nights at this lovely home in Glandore. It was the ideal location close to the city and not far from the beach. Tram and bus options are both nearby as well as plenty of parking if you have a car. We found the property to be well equipped for families and enjoyed the private backyard too. Kris was very accommodating and communication was excellent. Little touches such as milk on arrival and lovely muesli supplied were appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay again, thank you!

Mate this is really good. Love this house brother. Stayed there for three nights and it truly was worth it. This legend brought us forks spoons and everyday stuff. Really clean and comfortable. Keep up the good work lad.

Four adults stayed over Christmas and were very comfortable. Kris had left thoughtful necessities in the kitchen as well as some declicious treats for the festive period. There was aslo washing liquid for the washing machine - we couldn't have asked for more to make us feel at home and able to fully function in the self catering. The standard of bedding and crockery was much higher than I have experienced in any self catering property I have stayed in. The location was ideal for access to CBD and Glenelg beach. Would deffinitely recommend.Thank you.
