Hotel Alba was a delight to stay at, great central location with a beautiful outlook with views across the park. The staff and service was beyond fabulous, friendly and very helpful right from the minute we arrived. We would happily stay at Hotel Alba when visiting Canberra.

Good Choice
The hotel looked new. Our king bedroom was spacious, quiet and with a large TV. Fast complimentary wifi. Good to see toiletries in refillable bottles. We had an evening flight and could get a late afternoon check out for a reasonable fee.

The rooms are fabulous and comfy,clean and modern...a wonderful big Balcony but no chairs to sit out there which I don't quite understand. The pool looks fabulous, didn't use it due to winter No mention if $100 bond or $15 car parking on Hotels.com The Carpark is impractical with larger suitcases.

Superior room had a separate lounge room, with sofa, lounge chairs, coffee table, 2nd TV. It was great. Short walk to bus or tram. Undercover onsite parking ($15 per day).

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very cute and tastefully renovated. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The only downfall was that it was a distance away from the activities we had planned but the hotel itself was great.

The hotel rooms are nicely appointed and the overall design is very appealing - very Palm Springs esque. The cleaning lets things down a bit unfortunately. The first room we were shown to reeked of cigarettes. It stunk like a giant ashtray and we were shocked that they'd give this to any guests. They quickly rectified this by letting us move to another room, which also had a lingering stink of cigarettes, but was much less offensive (we propped the balcony door open to air things out and it got better). The design of the hotel overall and the service were great. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast. For whatever reason, this is a non-smoking hotel that appears to have a lot of smokers stay there. As someone who can't stand the smell of cigarettes, this was off putting. Otherwise I could not fault the hotel though.

An excellent hotel starting with the friendly receptionist staff. There was dining which looked great but we didn't have the need for it. The rooms were new, clean and the bathroom/shower was in excellent condition.

A nice hotel and lovely staff but the walls are very thin and you hear a lot of your neighbours. I would stay again due to the staff and food being lovely - especially the breakfast, however I was not impressed with the infrastructure of the hotel.
