Whilst Crafers itself is a tiny village, the Hotel is splendid with beautiful rooms, well set out and attractive dining areas, with and easy elegance Bistro and a more casual, but comfortable all-day eating area. If you like to walk, it’s only 40 min round trip to Stirling (4 mins drive) and 15-20 mins drive to Hahndorf and other Hills towns.

The character of the building set the scene for a wonderful stay, being shown to the room was a lovely, welcoming gesture. The room lived up the the expectations from the photos and the onsite restaurant was the best dining experience we have had in a long time - we have already booked to stay and dine again

Unexpectedly Brilliant
Honestly we were surprised by just how good this stay was. Small details that go a long way, aesop products, beers and snacks in the room at no extra cost, great bath, gas fireplace, heated tiles in the bathroom, super comfy bed, breakfast bar, cute balcony to catch some morning sun and lovely service. The food and drinks downstairs meant we didnt leave from check-in to check-out.

We had a fabulous stay here. A quick getaway for a birthday dinner and it was so perfect!! The rooms are so luxe. Beautiful styled and quality linen. A newspaper at the door in the morning. An adorable breakfast nook with so many yummy options. We dined downstairs in the restaurant and had a beautiful meal. The service here from all staff was amazing! A rare fine in this day and age. Please book a stay here you won’t be disappointed!!

The room was surprisingly nice! Bathroom had underfloor heating, dual shower head, and complimentary drinks in the fridge. There was a shared breakfast nook with a simple complimentary breakfast, access to a washing machine, and a sneaky hotel entrance that by-passed the bars. Staff were polite and pleasant when they showed us our room (Kit), and accommodating when I asked them to store a bottle of breast milk in their fridge for a few hours after we checked out. There was no sound in our room from the nearby highway or the bar downstairs. Parking was tricky (Friday evening).

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Crafers hotel! From the moment we walked in, warmly greeted by staff who took us to our room. The roof itself, majestic! The high ceilings, the decor, the bathroom was stunning with excellent quality towels and provided toiletries, and a heated floor! The bed was comfortable, the room was toasty warm on a cold hills evening, and the provided breakfast and paper in the morning was a lovely touch. The mini bar was included in the cost of the room which is unheard of, and a few nibbles and a lovely handwritten welcome are really personal touches! While we didn’t dine in the restaurant, we did have a drink when we came back which was a nice and cosy atmosphere. The room itself is worth the price, but all the extras thrown in made this a very enjoyable experience and we definitely plan on coming again! Lovely spot, lovely team, beautiful room, 5 stars!
