It is dirty, poorly maintained, door lock is from 19th century and I struggled every time to open it. Hotel was not even able to order a cab for me. Room smelled of urine.Travelocity should not book rooms at this hotel if they care for their reputation
On checking in we were informed our passports were to be photocopied which was usual practice, however copies were being sent to the Commisioner of Police as advised by the man, which I was very surprised. We felt like criminals. The check in experience was an external desk undercover and the hotel was not a palace. Our room was like a backpackers style and not a Super Deluxe as described which had a few problems. The bath had a crack and there was exposed electrical wiring attached to the flourescant light. There was loose electrical sockets by the 2 beds. There was no tea or coffe making facility. Hot water ran out quickly after one shower and there were 2 other persons to have showers which were cold. The mattresses were thin and uncomfortable. The breakfast/dinner room was like a school classroom. The aircon consisted of an out of date old unit which was very noisy and had exposed electrical wiring at the power point. We left it off due to the noise. The sink tap in the bathroom was about to fall off and the aircon level could not be regulated, either it was on or off.We stayed one of the 2 nights booked.
Bad Bad Bad, rooms not clean, hotel difficult to locate, BED BUGS biting throughout the night, AC in bad condition, water in a dirty jug and what not.
It was just for 5 hours that we needed the hotel. We payed for the entire day, booked two rooms and we did not get any rest throughout the night . Next morning we had a flight to catch at 6 and go for a important meeting to delhi. Felt so tired and drained.
There are only a few rooms worth staying in for their unique appeal and of those only a couple have outside windows with some privacy!
Most of the property has numerous evidence of minor decrepidness like broken tiles, falling ceiling and plaster, leaking pipes, exposed wires and unfinished or broken furnishings and furniture...
Additionaly much of the hotel is very filthy. The people just have no concept of how or what to clean. Bathrooms are especially a problem, as are getting clean sheets and pillow cases.
Please note that the stink from cattle next door can be overwhelming for which the management refused to burn any incense and laughed at me...
Don't be surprised to find people sleeping in the lobby and restaurant or even to find the owner snoozing in the lobby during the afternoon.
Much of the numerous overiding problems stem from language difficulties and somewhat from a can't do/give up attitude.
Ps. My phone was replaced 4 (four) times.
