Basic room, great location.
Excellent location to the old town restaurants and shops, very convenient. A very basic room, but suited our needs for the night. Loud street made it hard to get a good nights sleep. Had to search for a plug to charge our phones.

The staff were fantastic and very helpful. They were the best part of the stay. The hotel's location is ideal for walking around the old city centre. We had difficulty driving to the hotel using our rental car's navigation and also Google maps as they kept trying to make us drive the wrong way down a one-way road and restricted access roads. The website says there is safe parking in front of the hotel, but there really isn't any. I got out of the car to ask the hotel staff how to get to it and where to park. They were very helpful and directed us to a nearby paid parking lot.

Very Good location, close to the station, parking or downtown.It is a very basic hotel, sheets, towels and bathroom very clean. Lamp and bathroom vents are dirty, the lock of the door is not safe. Is the traditional old style push button. Carpets could be replaced. The night staff person is very very helpful and nice. The reception is nice as well.

Unfortunately, the hotel was very loud - we could hear our neighbors and their party until 3am - we barely slept. The room was very small, and not super clean - we felt the hotel overcharged us. The staff and location were very good.

Great hotel with amazing staff!
This hotel was really lovely and the room was great (apart from the fact the toilet was in a separate room from the shower room, although this seems to be the norm in Provence). Everyone at reception was lovely and incredibly helpful and they helped us book a taxi to the airport as well as reserve a car space for our stay. The location is also very good as it is in a quiet area, yet all the main attractions are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend booking it!

First off, France can be very expensive so as long as you`re not expecting 5star facilities, this place is great.The room was a bit on the compact side but if you just want somewhere to spend the night in between exploring, then the Caravelle is perfect - we stayed for four nights and were perfectly happy. The room was clean, bed comfortable and quiet (we had a room overlooking a garden to the rear), the staff were brilliant (very informative and cheery) and the location was excellent - around 20 minutes walk from the main bus station and just around the corner from a street full of bars, restaurants and all the other nice stuff......We`d be happy to return:)

There’s better places to stay for the money
1-throws over lobby furniture can’t hide their threadbare & worn condition 2-bathroom (a) stank (b) shower so slippery we had to hold on so we wouldn’t fall (c) only mirror in room was over bathroom sink but had such funky lightbulbs you couldn’t see unless you were almost nose to the mirror 3-mattress was (a) poor quality (b) sat on wooden slats, no box springs (c) tilted so bad I had to be careful I didn’t fall off 4-missed our wake up call. When we complained said they called the room twice & considered knocking on our door when we didn’t answer phone but didn’t. When he checked, the room phone didn’t work! It’s old...clean but old & tired. Yes the managers are nice people but a hotel has to function to be a good value.

Perfect location on very edge of old district.
Very happy with hotel, perfect location, very helpful staff on reception (all of them), they gave us the room we requested overlooking garden, very peaceful. Convenient for train station also and bus stop to Cezanne studio. Round the corner from beautiful winding streets of the old district of Aix. Would definitely go there again.
