The front desk clerk was pleasant, helpful , and accommodating. The room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed and many conveniences! My only concerns were that the light switches & tv remote were a bit "sticky" and there was visible mold/mildew on the ceiling & walls of the tub area.

At first sight we were a little skeptical about staying as the front entrance was blocked off and we had to enter from the back later to find out why. The front entrance walkway was cleaned up and had a sealant applied that was still drying. The room was nice. Breakfast was good. The stay was pleasant. The property needs a little TLC. But overall it was fine.

Dirty and understaffed
On check-in, we waited for the receptionist for quite a while while the front desk phone constantly rang very loudly. Then we discovered that both beds had visibly dirty covers. When the housekeeper followed me to the room to look into the situation, he walked past me and tried to enter the room without asking or knocking and nearly intruded on my family who were changing into their swimsuits. In total I spent around an hour just waiting for the receptionist and the housekeeper. Breakfast was great and everything else was generally acceptable, but there is no way I'll ever return to this hotel.

Worst hotel- don’t stay
I don’t usually take the time to leave a bad review but this hotel was awful and hotels.com should not be partnering with it. I would give a 0 if I could. The wallpaper was peeling up everywhere- loose tiles all over the place. I was initially put in a room that someone had busted into. The door had not been replaced and the wood was all splintered around the lock. Chemical/gas smells. Only two of the outlets worked and in another room we rented, some of the outlets had scorch marks from the beginning of electrical fires. We did not feel safe but the manager would not let us leave and get a refund because we booked through hotels.com. We finally just left and lost the money. This place should be closed down by a safety inspection.

The check in was smooth. There was only one person on duty and she did her best to help. She is the only reason why I give this location two stars. The bed was clean. The mini fridge worked. The location, the room, the hallways, the elevator, the stairways were not clean. The walls were damaged. breakfast cereal was on the floor around the bed. Specks of white tissue was scattered around the room on the floor. There is evidence that the tile floor in the bathroom has been repetitively cleaned but the area under the sink has not been. Once you step out of the lobby into the hallway there is an unpleasant odor. The elevator was worse. Stains on the carpets and walls. Some rooms the musty odor was too much to try to sleep in. I have stayed at this location 4 times over a period of years. I will not stay here again.

Inviting entrance and friendly staff
The staff was great, especially Carol in the breakfast room. Breakfast was great, by the way. The lobby was lovely and inviting. I didn’t feel like the room was especially clean, unless the spots on the bathroom floor, front of the sink and the shower curtain were stains.

The staff was very friendly, breakfast was fabulous, our only complaint was how noisy the room was, we could hear people next door until late and upstairs people walking around. Could update mattress.
