Rude staff, I rented a hotel price arbnb place and I thought I was renting a hotel room. No service, noone came to take out trash and noone came to bring an extra roll of toilet paper. When asked if we can acess the pools - hard NO … when asked why- Well since last year we changed our policy but we haven’t changed the information online, and we need DAILY PASS OF $60-$100 depending which pool. Very misleading. When asked about hot water - we will fixed and they never did.

The a/c didn’t work, there was no hot water, so we had to take cold showers. Also to tram in the community never came to that area unless you asked to be dropped off. The bed was a little hard as well. The property was very nice, just basic amenities like A/C and hot water should always be available. I would not stay at the Queztal properly again.

Bahia Principe Residants is an excellent set-up; meticulously maintained ground, super curtious and helpfull staf, very efficient transportation and acces to six 5 star hotel amenities.

Clean comfortable apartment
Overall experience was good however you are away from the main shuttle area to the beach so be prepared to walk. There are shuttles to the apartments but quicker to walk than wait for a shuttle. If you are planing on making your own meals come prepared as there are no grocery stores anywhere close even if you had a vehicle. Quiet area for relaxing.

Many issues,Bahia Principe is horrible nightmare !
Bahia blames the guest for not knowing that they should not expect transportation to the condo, toilet paper or shampoo. We did not stay at Quetzal. We were placed at the Terrazzo building and were told we would enjoy the newer building. The condo smelled like a dead animal in the bathroom which turned out to be a moldy washing machine. No one could figure this out much less solve the issue until I figured it out myself and ran the machine after several days of trying to get them to get them to address this.Some upgrade- it was awful! This luxury resort was inhospitable and deaf to our complaints and needs. Bahia blamed us and the "owner" for not informing us of the way things were. We were freezing cold and unable to obtain a blanket, We had maid service some days but they would not replace toilet paper or shampoo when we ran out on day three. The toilet broke. We had our 9 year old with us and it was a challenge to meet her basic needs. DO NOT STAY HERE

They don’t supply toilet paper or blankets
We didn’t get blankets the first night we were there. We called and asked but were told the person who had the key had gone home for the night and we wouldn’t be getting blankets for the night. The next morning they offered to comp us the first night due to us not having blankets. We later found out that the person who offered us the free night was not authorized to do so. So the management was just lying about the free night. The property is pretty nice, but the management of the property really lets you down.

Good, should work on check in service.
Clean and comfortable. Luxurious but not in excess, easy beach access (it's not at the beach, but on the other side of the highway, but they manage to make it simple to get there with or without car). The terrace is fantastic, nature around is terrific. They made us wait around 25 minutes before receiving us for check in and when the lady was finally ready she took off to the loo without even saying good morning, so we waited other 5 minutes without a word said.

Nice room but far from the beach
The room was nice and clean. From the photo advertisement we expected that we would be able to see the beach from our room, however, this apartment was on the opposite of the high way where there was the beach. To access to the beach have to take a shuttle/golf car/a private car. Check-In and Check-Out office opened from 8.30am to 8pm only.

Great place for families!
My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed at the RESIDENTIAL end of this mega complex for 3 nights. We loved the amenities, cleanliness and friendly staff throughout the resort. There really is no need to leave the resort as there are activities for the A.M. hours and great entertainment for all ages in the P.M. hours. The only complaint we had was a lack of signage. Because we rented a car during our trip we drove to the resort and had to find our way to the residences which are on the other side of the regular hotel rooms. When we asked the staff to direct us they did not know where the residences where! Other than that our stay was lovely!

Far away from the beach
Despite what the pictures show, the room was very far away from the beach. The beach is across a huge road and the only way to get there is via a golf cart (over 5km away). It's about a 15 minute walk to the closest lobby and at least another 15 minutes of waiting for a golf cart and being transported to the beach. The hotel itself is also in an isolated area - not within walking distance of any markets or any other public beaches. The apartment rentals did not feel as they were a part of the hotel. When we checked it, the staff at the hotel did not even know where the apartments were. We also did not receive the services of the hotel as the hotel staff kept pointing out that the hotel and the apartment rentals are separate companies - not even toilet paper. We felt that the accommodation was overpriced for its service and location as there were other hotels in the area for the same or cheaper price much closer to the beach with the comforts of an actual hotel rather than apartment rentals. After the first night, we tried to cancel and get a refund but were only able to get a 50% refund. It was a rather disappointing experience overall.

Easy to find as part of bahia principe property. good base for whole coast if you have a hire car. easy access to the parks, tulum, akumal beach, etc. access :to the hotel facilities included Ie pools and bars. Thursday nights Is mexican party night show - sounded fun - wished we had known about it. great for families with children or couples. additional adults are not going to be happy on the sofa!
