This apartment is on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and is part of an 8plex. Walking distance (66ft) to Old Town Plaza, where you can experience the "enchantment" of New Mexico’s restaurants, cafes, shops, art, street merchants, live music and entertainment. We are also walking distance to numerous museums including The Albuquerque Museum of Art, Explora Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural Science and History, and the Rattlesnack Museum. Nearby is theTiguex Park, the Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Abq Zoo, Tingley Beach and the Rio Grande crafts.

Other things to note:
-Doorbell camera installed on front door to monitor guest count and for security purposes.
-2nd floor - no elevator
-Large Garbage container located behind the complex
-Possibility for noise - apartments are part of an 8plex
-Low Flow Toilets - do not flush anything other than small amounts of toilet paper
-AC unit - please do not run temp lower than 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit. The compressor can easily freeze causing damage or HOT air to blow in. When you leave please return temp to 75.
-Sofa Bed - not the most comfortable bed. We have added another layer of foam under the bedding but please be aware that it is not the most comfortable bed.
-The complex is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to stay on top of pest control and keep the apartments spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.

The Neighborhood:
We love the historic feel and the charm that Old Town delivers. It's always enjoyable to slow down and spend time strolling through the square and the numerous shops and restaurants available. We feel perfectly safe walking around Old Town both day and night, just sticking to the immediate blocks around the plaza, and around Rio Grande Blvd. Going from Central towards Downtown does have some isolated stretches so it is recommended to use common safety sense as you would in any big city.

Unbeatable location
We had a great stay here. Apartment was the perfect size for 3 people and very clean. You really can’t beat the location, all of the fun Old Town shops are right across the street and it was an easy walk to Albuquerque Zoo. Only critique would be the shower is on the smaller side and the wide shower head doesn’t really work for the size.

Convenient stay in Albuquerque
The property is in a convenient location very close to Old Town, which was great for our needs as we had a wedding to attend. The building was secure and felt safe. The rental was clean, was well stocked in the kitchen, and had what we needed for our stay. The two things I would mention, and they are meant to be helpful to the owner, are 1) the stools in the kitchen eating area are uncomfortable, they had to back rest - stools with a back rest would be much more comfortable for guests on vacation, and 2) the one and only shower had a very low flow shower head. Yes, it is too low for tall people but it actually took longer to shower because it took longer to rinse off. The shower head needs to have more force, or at least more water should be coming out in a concentrated area. Thank you for the noise machine. It was a nice touch.

The location was great, right in Old Town near all the shops and food. Everything was in walking distance if desired. I like that the complex is gated, a little extra feeling of security while in a new city and away from home.

Didn't feel safe in this area
My feet were gross after walking around in this unit the floor was not clean. The closet in the master bedroom was missing so we could not block the light and it has a sign to not turn off the unit making the light. We did not feel safe in this area, I was afraid my vehicle would be broken into while I slept. The host was not good with providing information up front, the code to the gate was provided 2 hours after check in time and info on early checkout was provided after we were leaving. The host ask about early arrival and early departure in the communication, but it felt like they were overly concerned. We arrived in the evening and left in the morning didn't see a need to let them know exactly when we were going since it was well within the times of the booking. This was part of 10 day trip and was our worst location and second most expensive.

April 2024 - We had a great time in NM. I was there for a conference and was able to stay the week. The rental was just as pictured and described within in walking distance of Old Town and many other attractions. We could go to Santa Fe, Turquoise Trail, Jemez Scenic Byway, hot springs, Acoma Pueblo tours, Valle de Caldera, Bandelier, El Morro, Sandia Mountain Tramway, etc. The weather was amazing! We would stay again.

Lots of room- convenient location to old town.
A little on the plain side, which was ok for us- we weren’t in the place that much. However, the AC was weak( had to open the windows at night) and the shower is just tiny and short. Overall - OK.

15 minutes to EVERYTHING
The location was wonderful. It seemed like we were only 15 minutes to anything we wanted to do. Right across the street from Old Towne, close to many attractions. The host was very accommodating and shared information on things to do in Albuquerque. The condo was well stocked with kitchen items, a sound machine in the bedroom. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The shower is very small so if you are tall you might have to duck. We enjoyed our stay!! Linda and Liz

Just Like Home!
Just finished my four day stay here. Such a cozy apartment and a prime location to all the sights. Taryn was a very responsive host who thought of everything, left detailed instructions, an informative binder and kept in close communication with me to answer my questions. When I return in the Spring, I will book her apartment again.

Cute Condo
Sweet condo, much larger than I expected .. nicely decorated, incredibly clean. Had everything we needed. We could walk right across the street to restaurants and shopping. Parking right out front. The owners were quick to respond. Quiet condo even though it’s on a busier street. We heard no street noise at all and felt very very safe in the area. We stayed with granddaughters. Perfect for us. We will definitely come back again.

Great location and cute, clean place!
Great location with lots to do and see in Old Town. Neighborhood felt safe and there was so much within walking distance. Great communication by the host both before and during our stay. The rental was clean and stocked with the things we needed for our stay (good coffee too!). The beds were comfortable. The only flaw was the host only provides one bath towel per person. Sort of missed having a towel for my hair and one for my body. This rental was perfect for our family of 4. .

Love It
I have in-laws in ABQ and we've always stayed at their place or a hotel. His condo gave my wife and I tons of room to spread out and not be crammed in a hotel room together. The owner literally thought of everything. My one and only one small knock would be if you're 6'0" or taller, the shower is going to be tough. The owner has dome some clever plumbing to get as much clearance as possible but I think a couple more inches is possible which would make the small shower more comfortable.
