Good basic accommadation
Pros:The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. the staff were polite and responsive. I didn't hear noise from the other rooms. Cons:The mirror in the bathroom was much to low. I mesure 5'11" and I could only see below my chin when standing before it. There was nowhere to place personal hygiene objects near the sink. The television sound and image was of low quality and the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.

Price was very good for the limited accomodations. Room size very small no chairs to sit on other than bed. Mattress too soft. Bathroom could have used a shelf or little side table to put your toiletries on. But all in all it was exceptionally clean which matters most in my book. Friendly helpful staff.

We were very pleased with our king bed, amount of towels, access to a boat launch, parking for our trailer, lots of chairs around pool...excellent!! We will be back.

A Good Stay (with a couple of minor issues)
I have been here several times and have enjoyed all of my stays, including this one. The clerks were friendly at check-in and check-out. The room was nice and clean, although I was surprised to find someone's leftover, half-eaten sandwich left in a square, plastic restaurant container in the small fridge in the room. Also, I would have appreciated having a fridge with a freezer in it. I thought that the flow of water coming out of the shower head was a bit too strong and fast. I like the location of the inn, not being right in the village, but easy walking distance to the heart of the village, and located right on the main Route 12. I recommend this inn to those who wish to visit Alexandria Bay area.

You get what you pay for
I booked a poolside room but was given a room on the opposite side of the properly and had to drive to the pool. I was told it was a dockside "upgrade" but I was nowhere near the dock. The pool was littered with leaves and debris and there was even a large spider on the steps under the water. The filters on the pool were turned off as well. I told my grandson he could go in the pool at the next hotel. Room was very small but clean. The staff were very courteous and friendly.

The Captain's Inn & Suites seemed pretty much like a standard motel - our room had 2 double beds. It was enhanced by the presence of a small kitchenette - range, microwave, under-the-counter fridge and sink. The cupboards were equipped with a set of dishes and flatware. Very convenient. Desk staff were friendly and professional and I would book there again in the future.

We enjoyed out stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The front desk staff was friendly. They even called us late in the afternoon to see if we needed directions! Free coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning was a nice bonus.

Very cozy and comfortable room for us to stay at an affordable price range. The room has everything you need for when you are on vacation because let's face it your not usually there to stay in your room. Very comfortable bed and super clean room smells fresh when you walk in the room

Cute and clean updated rooms. Rooms are small but perfect for our needs of a low price place to sleep with excellent accommodations. Mattress was new with clean bedding. Close to cafe type restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Close to Downtown Alexandria. We really liked this Motel and would stay there again should we come back to visit this area.
