This little hotel was fantastic! After check in, they brought us to the terrace for a complimentary drink. We had the room with the terrace which has one of the best views we saw. The front desk was very helpful arranging a driver to the airport. They also provide driving to the hotel. The front desk is very friendly. They hauled up our bags and brought them down when we left. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent service and accommodations!

Francois, Rio and all of the staff were very attentive ensuring that all our needs weee met. It was really well located with everything within 15 minute walk. There was great little artisan shops and Padgett shops in the same block as well as Chapito which was an awesome restaurant. We loved it!

This was hands down the best experience I've ever had in a hotel. I want to thank Rio and Francois specifically as they went above and beyond to make sure we were well informed, comfortable, safe, and had everything we needed! They provided a level of kindness and hospitality that is rare! The view from our room was amazing and our room was very spacious, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend staying here and this will be the only place I stay any time I go to Lisbon!

First thing I will say is how amazing are Rio and Francois...They where the most nice, helpful and professional. Other then that the room was big and clean will definitely stay again.

Beautiful river views from property. Attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Historic neighborhood near Castelo Sao Jorge and Alfama. Nearby free lift to go to and from Baixa so you can get around Lisbon !

Exceptional hotel! The location is amazing and everything you are looking for in a visit to Lisbon. The staff are amazing- friendly, polite and helpful. Francisco and Rio made us feel welcome, provided advice and checked on us. We miss them already and cannot wait to go back.

Ok.. here is my review! If you are looking for a fancy Ritz, keep looking elsewhere. This hotel is located in one of the oldest parts of Lisbon and one of the hardest areas to get around by foot (soooo much climbing) and sometimes by car can be a challenge. Since the hotel has no elevator this can be an issue if you have any health issues. Solar dos Mouros is old, well kept and charming and the staff is truly the best. The bakery next door is a treat. I also highly recommend to get ALL of your tickets before you go on any tours to these incredible sites, the lines and wait times can be hours!!! If possible, higher a tour guide for the day trips!! Lisbon is really incredible. Enjoy:)

Our room had to be one of the best in Lisbon! Great view of the city. Short walk to many great restaurants, shopping, and must see neighborhoods. Friendly, thoughtful staff. Great service, clean room. Highly recommended.

Great stay! The hotel is close to all of the attractions, yet quiet and calm at night. If you plan on taking the metro from the airport, be sure to use the elevator by Zambezi Restaurant as you walk from metro station to the hotel—it will save you some time and sweat

The staff were terrific. Special shout out to Francois. He was so kind and helpful. The location could not be better, but if you have mobility issues, Lisbon is not for you. I am recovering from knee surgery, and I have a torn ACL, so I was physically demanding, but the hotel staff did whatever they could to help me, including getting me ice to apply to my knee. Welcome fruit was delicious, and the food at the hotel was so good. Staff knew gluten and the need to eat gluten-free because I had celiac. Overall great experience.

Love, love, love Solar dos Mouros. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, nice, clean rooms, beautiful views and good food... I could continue to rave about them but you should check them out yourself. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Solar dos Mouros.
