First off, let's be fair and rate the property for what it is. To compare it with a 5-star hotel would be unfair, because they're not trying to be a 5-star. They're just trying to be a clean budget friendly place to hang your hat for a day or two, and they exceeded my expectations in that regard. Admittedly, the hotel and the neighborhood looked a little scary at first, but our worries were unfounded.
While neither of the hosts were fluent in English (hey, this is Spain, English is not widely spoken here), they spoke well enough for us to communicate with them just fine. They really tried their best to accommodate to our needs and wishes. The suggestion for breakfast in the morning was perfect for what we needed. A typical Spanish type breakfast, which was fine for us for that day. They have an affiliation with a restaurant next door which is open in the evenings. It doesn't look like much, but the food was excellent.
The only improvement I can think of is the emails that were sent to us prior to our arrival. Most were in Spanish, so we had to resort to Google Translate since we don't speak Spanish (but we do plan to learn). Perhaps a translation software could be added to those emails to recipients that don't speak Spanish.
