Beautiful property, incredible views but needs work!
Huge lot, panoramic views of Lake Michigan, virtually private beach and lots of sleeping space for large or extended family. However, wi-fi service is almost non-existent, kitchen water pressure is extremely low and the house needs updates.

Great, quiet place to stay!
We had a great time. There was plenty to do to keep us busy, and plenty of space! Very pretty area and views of the lake. Definitely worth it to go out in the "off season", like we did. The area is much less busy and it's a gorgeous place to stay at any time of the year.

Family getaway
Excellent property for large multigenerational family gathering. Very flexible with check in. Property and kitchen were very well equipped. Only missing kitchen towels (only one provided) and dishwasher soap (none provided for 2 dishwashers). Easy to contact property manager with any questions. Did have issue with septic alarm but was able to resolve after talking with property manager. Otherwise excellent experience. Would re-book 100%.

The setting of this home is perfect if you want to be away from it all and up close to the water! And to top it off the home is gorgeous inside as well, with so many things to do on site, that everyone was happy! So much space and very comfortable. We plan to go back again next year! Thank you!

Something for Everyone!
We truly enjoyed our family vacation - there was something for everyone! We had a wide variety of ages but found there was so much that brought us all together - kayaking, picking up rocks to sort and stack, stories around the campfire, and lots of pool for all ages! Plenty of room for all, each family group stayed on a different level, so had a sense of privacy even with lots of people. There was lots to do nearby too - Algoma was a wonderful place for fishing and shopping. In fact, we all thought that we should have skipped the long drive to Washington Island and just stayed nearby. Went to fish boil and exploring in Fish Creek, and visited several state and county parks. Views from house were amazing. Perfect family vacation, thank you!

Fabulous family reunion
We had an amazing 3 night stay at this house that has it all. We are a multigenerational family (age range of 18 months to 70's) that loves being together and we had a great time at this huge house with many activities. We enjoyed kayaking, having a fire at night, going into Algoma, playing in the water, bird watching, watching movies on the big screen in the downstairs living room, doing art projects and playing games in the game room. The kitchen is large enough for our teams of 8 family members each to cook and clean up each night. Emily, the manager, was extremely responsive when we had a couple of minor maintenance issues. She immediately sent out Jay, the great maintenance person to fix the problems. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Best Family Reunion Every!
Our time at the Lighthouse was a chance to give our kids the Door County experience we had as children. It checked all the boxes: waterfront property, seclusion, boats, bikes, and tons of other activities. The Lighthouse had it all. And it was close enough to still do all of our favorite Door County activities. On our last day we picked cherries just up the road and had fresh cherry pie with our brats and Baumeister sodas. We couldn't have asked for a better week. Thanks so much Emily!

5 stars, look no further for a private beach stay in WI!
Property and manager were both fabulous! This stay brought so much joy to myself and my family. It is a private property, we did not see another single soul on the beach for miles during our week long stay. The basketball court/tennis court hosted family tournaments, fire pit with chairs encouraged relaxation and conversation! Kayaks provided were so nice and life jackets! There is so much provided to do in the property you do not have to leave. But if you need something from the store or want to do a wine tasting, get ice cream or shop it’s only a five minute drive away. They had mosquito squad spray so a week outside with no mosquito’s was magical. If you are unsure about booking this property do not hesitate to do so you will not be disappointed. Emily the property manager answered all my questions promptly and was a fabulous host. For a large group this is perfect! Loved every minute!

Amazing house
This house is amazing and the rooms are so nice! It faces the lake and has awesome sunrise views! The projector room is nice although it would have been nice to be able to connect to Netflix which there seemed to not be any internet connection. There are lots of outdoor equipment to use. Enjoyed using the tennis court. The kitchen is huge and includes all the things you need and more. The games room is nice which is in the garage although can be a bit chilly. When we had questions, the property manager was very responsive and professional. Would return again but for the summer.

Beautiful views!
We had an amazing time at the lighthouse. There is NO WiFi at the house. I was aware of this before hand. Be sure to share to communicate with others arriving to share address etc or you will not be able to text/call when at the house. No WiFi was great for all of us to dial out. The house was huge! Tons of activities for kids - tennis, basketball, arcade. Our kids made there own “olympic competition” lots of kitchen space, beach towels, etc. we spent many hours around the fire pit. We rented a pontoon boat from door county boat rental, which was only 15 mins away. House could use some updating & a deep clean. Great family place to dial out!! I Would recommend & come back again.

Great in some ways, problematic in others
This one is tough. Our group of 12 had a fantastic stay, but there are some very real issues that people should know before renting. Fantastic features: 1) The view and sounds of waves 2) Very spacious home and lawn 3) Incredible lawn and fire pit for late night drinks, laughs and soaking in the outdoors. 4) Well stocked kitchen with tons of silverware/plates/glasses; definitely built for a crowd. 5) New (or newish) appliances in the kitchen, with 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, and a huge pantry. Also 2 washers and dryers. 5) Very clean interior Problematic: 1) **Accessibility of this home is for the able-bodied**. Our group was very relieved we had no children or elderly with us, as you *must* climb stairs, and there are lot of tripping spots of step-ups and step-downs. My parents would have really struggled with the uneven exterior stairs, lack of handrails (there is a rope), and uneven stonework underfoot. I have since been told by the owner that this is up to the Wisconsin inspection standard, and in the end, it worked for us, but consider who you are bringing. 2) Easy access to the beach does not exist. One must climb down a tumble of cement blocks to swim or kayak. We could, and we enjoyed a good swim, but it's not for everyone. Putting kayaks in would have been a multi-person venture. 3) Recent water damage left us with swaths of missing carpet, drywall and *exposed* tack strip that we had to cover with towels and tape. No way to contact owner given the well-warned connectivity issues. Once you are there, you are on your own. 4) Contractor left stacks of paint, chemicals and pesticide on the floor of the game room. I was told once we left that this should have been put away, but it wasn't. Again, nothing to be done about it once we were there. 5) Projector did not work. Owner states this is the first they have heard of it, but we had no use for our stay. 6) Voluminous dead bugs on the exterior windows, walls, and Tiki bar. 7) One bedroom has a hot tub in it. This is not in the listing because it is not intended for use, but it is still filled with hot water, giving the room a chlorine-musty smell. 8) New owner says they are working to update, but the property is very dated and visibly worn. The main room couches were deeply stained to the point none of us wanted to sit on them, and we truly are NOT fussy people. Summary: There is work to be done. I would recommend following the comments to assure improvements are made.

Not worth the price.
This is a hard one to review. While the place definitely delivered on some areas, there were others that were not up to what we would have expected for what we paid. I am also trying to keep in mind part of the cost is because the place is so large and is not their fault we didn't need all the space. Positives: The view is great. The place is spacious (great for playing hide-n-seek). We could bring our dog. The kitchen had 2 ovens which at first seemed overkill but actually ended up being helpful. The basics felt clean (bathrooms, bedding). The recreation opportunities (arcade machines, pool table, tennis court, basketball hoop) were nice to have. Negatives: Very rundown to the point that there were areas of concern for safety. Twice a rock on the front stoop rolled out when stepping up and there is no handrail. Decks are in horrible condition which makes them uninviting to hang out on. The furniture and throw pillows were very dirty and stained. The kitchen sinks were very stained, the hood over the stove was filthy. For what is charged for the cleaning fee I expected the place to be meticulous. The WIFI is basically non-existent. On their listing when we rented it indicated the internet was spotty so streaming videos would be difficult. We not only had very little times we actually had any WiFI, we didn't even have cell coverage and there was no landline. So no contact with family back home. Unable to do any research on the area unless we left the house first. Unable to contact the manager to indicate there was a problem. But a larger concern is if there had been an emergency of any kind we would have had to drive somewhere first to seek help. Saying the internet is spotty was, to me, misleading. They basically need to say you may occasionally be able to get internet. And you will not have cell coverage. We did do some follow up research on this property and it appears it was recently sold so perhaps the new owners just haven't had time to get things fixed up or replaced yet. I think the place is great for large families or groups that want to party. But if you are looking for high quality, which is what I thought I was getting, this is not the place.
