"I’ve just come back from 12 days staying at the Whitney House Retreat with my pups. This was the second time that I stayed at this place. I love the proximity to all the trails, not only those within Algonquin proper. It’s also a really nice location - you can listen to the beautiful sounds of the river while enjoying a backyard fire, barbecue, and the sounds of the birds & critters living in the forest behind the property. In addition to backing onto the forest, I love the shield rock and the birch trees surrounding the property. It’s a special place. Casey is an excellent host, and the place is nicely decorated and quite comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!"

"Bob's cottage was so nice we started planning our next visit before we even left! It was quiet, beautiful, and exactly as described in the listing. The beds were so comfortable I checked what mattresses they were before we left to buy them for my home! Incredibly well-stocked and Bob was so wonderful and responsive. We genuinely cannot wait to book again. "

"Very lovely, quiet and relaxing property and very comfortable and clean. Rooms are spacious, equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and cups and cutlery. There is a wonderful bar onsite (no food) that has live music, and the acoustics are excellent, as well as a huge stone fireplace. The only issue we had was that there is an entrance fee to see bands ($35 per person when we were there) and as there's no TV in the rooms, you are a bit stuck in the evenings for something to do for a couple of hours. Aside from that, the place is awesome an the price was really reasonable."
