La Casa Del Olivar is a one-storey house located on a rustic estate of 4500 m of olive trees with a plot of 1000 m. inside where a cozy house of 110 m is located.
It is distributed in 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with a children's composition of 2 beds) 2 bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower) kitchen (oven, vitro, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, etc, crockery, cutlery, utensils, small appliances), dining room with fireplace and LED TV with satellite (satellite TV connected to the Astra satellite, check according to your country of origin that channels broadcast this satellite open) and covered porch with table, chairs and set of outdoor sofas.
The house is fully heated with cold / heat in each of its rooms. The house complements a garage for two vehicles, a warehouse and a barbecue.
If your idea is to travel with children we have a beautiful garden area with a large sandpit, swings, slide and some toys.
The garden area (practically the entire plot) has a well-kept lawn that borders the 9x5 pool. Towards this area the covered porch of the house is oriented and the barbecue is located (it has a sink, refrigerator, music, gas iron etc). Inside the garden there are large bearing trees, centenary olive trees and varied garden plants. The pool has purification equipment and lights, the garden has automatic irrigation (these extremes do not require any maintenance in a normal occupation for 1 week which means great privacy for guests).
The whole plot has a wide exterior lighting that makes the nights outside with the weather of this part of Spain, fabulous for meals outside, bathrooms, etc. The house is stocked with bed linen and towels. As well as garden furniture (tables, chairs, hammocks, etc.)

The access to the house is completely paved, having only to deviate from the regional road 100 m. The farm is located right on the border between Alhaurin el Grande (6 km) and Alhaurin de la Torre (8 km) villages that have all the services, (supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations, etc).

Also we are about 20 km from Malaga and its airport and about 20/30 minutes from the main beaches of the Costa del Sol (Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, etc). So you can be in the pool or on the beach but without the stress of the coast in summer. The house is located at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas and only about 500 m from the Laurogolf golf course.

The house is totally private and very quiet.

The house is ideal for stays throughout the year because sunny days are predominant and temperatures are very pleasant in this area because it is close to the sea and protected from the winds by the nearby mountains. You can enjoy meals, readings, conversations outdoors practically all year.

superb on every level
the villa was absolutely perfect. Antonio was always available and was really helpful. the outdoor space is fantastic. we had a labrador with us and he loved it as much as we did ! the pool area was great - we ate outside every night in a fantastic setting and lovely temperature. We would highly recommend this villa and any others that Antonio deals with as he really takes care of his guests. We will definitely be back next year.

Perfect for a family of six - the kitchen is well equipped, the pool is a good size and there is plenty of space outside so you get the sun throughout the day. Aspects of the property are a bit tired but we found it to be great value overall - secluded, secure and with an excellent host in Antonio. We wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

Good value for money, helpful owner, however, some maintenance required
Antonio met us at the nearby Lauro golf club and showed us around the house a bit sooner than planned, as it was ready early. The property is obviously very popular, it has a pleasant feel to it with some nice nick knacks inside and outside the house, and a lovely private pool . However, we only gave it 4, not 5, out of 5, as we felt it can benefit from a little time spent fixing a few things and adding some items for the kitchen. Our main concern was our first night when we had a huge storm with heavy rain and winds, and found that, in the middle of the night, water was coming in through the roof, and actually dripping onto the bed (in fairness it was an exceptionally bad storm). It also came in through other cracks in the roof, particularly the kitchen. The next morning Antonio came round early to see if we were OK, and to see if there was any damage (other areas had suffered floods, fallen trees etc.), and we told him we simply moved bedrooms, and that everything was fine except for the rain problem, and that we were perfectly alright - the water on the floors simply evaporated the next day, but we felt Antonio was very concerned and I'm sure he'd have been happy to have done whatever he could if necessary. As he's a builder, we hope the cracks are repaired before the next storm (and/or the next occupier?). Antonio pointed out that the pool filter pump had stopped working, but we told Antonio we didn't mind, as the water was clean and we didn't mind helping to skim off anything that had fallen in, i.e leaves etc. which were minimal. We hope Antonio would have arranged to have this fixed once we had left. Generally, we felt the property could have benefited from a little TLC, for example, in the kitchen there was only one tea towel, only two refuse bags, no oven gloves, only a few washing machine and dishwasher tablets, the rubber seal on the freezer hangs off when opened, and outside the sun lounger cushions were either split or just very worn, and need replacing. We also couldn't get a wi-fi signal all the time we stayed there, which was a little disappointing. That said, we nonetheless enjoyed our stay and feel the property was good value for the amenities it offered, and it was an easy drive to Malaga and the coast. With a little TLC Antonio can offer a very nice rental property .

Villa with a relaxing tropical atmosphere and privacy
The holiday home ‘Villa Encina’, that makes part of ‘Las Casas del Olivar’ is a very pretty and cosy villa, surrounded by green. The house inside is comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated in the rustic style. The garden is fantastic. Several tall palms, bananas and green lawn create a beautiful and relaxing tropical atmosphere at the pool and in the garden. The size of the garden is just right. The view on the pool from the sunbeds area, with the palms in the background mowing on the wind, is very pretty. The garden and grass are maintained in order and green. There is the water irrigation system. The house is located in the centre of the plot, so our dog enjoyed running all around the house and rolling on the grass. The property is fenced with the high fence and a lot of greenery that provides a complete privacy. The privacy and a quiet neighbourhood were one of the things we liked the most. You can not have a better house owner or house manager than Antonio :). Antonio was very helpful and resolved immediately few smaller things that we have communicated. The nicest and closest beaches and walking in nature area was the Guadalhorce and Guadalmar beach area close to Malaga for us. You can have a meal at the beach with a beautiful view at the bar restaurant Chiringuito Mari Guinterrez. There were not too many people in June in comparison with the beaches in Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Some information for dog owners and walk lovers: We had enjoyed our daily walks at the beautiful Lauro golf resort that is a dog- friendly. We had nice walks also at ‘El Bosque of Alhaurin el Grande’. We have been entering the pinewood at the entry for ‘Sendero Fuente del Acebuche’, at the end of Urbanization opposite to the Hotel Mirador. There is one more pinewood walking area to the river between Alhaurin el Grande and Coin, but we had no time to explore this.

Hidden gem
Just finished a relaxing family break at the villa and enjoyed every second . The villa is set in a tranquil , tucked away location yet all amenities are a quick drive down the road . I would highly recommend the villa to all especially families as the villa is set in a safe location . In terms of facilities it is evident that the owner has went above and beyond as the villa offers everything . The villa itself is truly stunning with views that will take your breath away . If you are thinking of booking the villa take my advice and go for it !! You won’t regret it as the villa truly is a hidden gem

Wonderful villa perfect for our family!
This villa exceeded our expectations, the photos do not do it justice. The villa was clean and well equipped with everything that we could have needed. The electric gate provided safety and security and the large carport meant our hire car was always in the shade. The gardens were well cared for and the pool was perfect for us. The villa was located in a quiet area close to local village and less than 30 minutes from the coastal resorts. Antonio met us at the golf course as promised and was on hand to replace the gas for us that day when it had run out. Overall we had a wonderful stay, would recommend the villa and would be delighted to have the opportunity to stay again.

Excellent, in every respect. Secure, private accommodation. House clean and well equipped. Garden cared for and provided both sunshine and shade. Pool clean and well maintained. Air conditioning in all rooms a bonus when temperatures approached 40 degrees. Would recommend without reservation.

Lovely Home
Excellent from arrival to departure. The house is great for families, lovely setting great views. Just the right size for a family of 6, mum, dad, kids and grand parents. The garden is a great size for the kids to run off excess energy. And its easy to find just off the A404. Antonio, the owner is a gentleman, very helpful he even meets you at a golf club, nearby to guide you to the house for the first time, but its easy to find anyway.

Nettes Haus in ruhiger Lage
Funktional eingerichtetes Haus, was hier und da leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Einige kleine Reparaturen /Erneuerungen wären zum perfekten Wohlfühlen ratsam.Das Grundstück bietet ausreichend Platz für die Familie. Von Vorteil war der überdachte Parkplatz. Der Ausblick ist leider nicht so schön auf die Berge, aber die Lage bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, ob zum Strand oder in die Städte (Fahrzeug vorausgesetzt). Der Vermieter sprach ein wenig Englisch, kamen aber ausreichend zurecht.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt
Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt doch sehr angenehm. Positiv: sehr gepflegter Garten, Pool (= selbstreinigend) und gepflegte Finka. Man ist komplett sichtgeschützt. Umfeld sehr ruhig. Küche funktional und mit dem Wichtigsten ausgestattet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die beschichteten Pfannen, die es in vier Größen gab und die fast wie neu waren. Badezimmer - das Warmwasser kam sofort. Negativ: Couch doch sehr abgewohnt, die Handtücher für die Sonnenliegen z.T. mit großen ausgefransten Löchern. Die weißen Handtücher in den Bädern sind zwar liebevoll bestickt, jedoch z.T. leicht grau. Schade fanden wir auch, dass man den Esstisch draußen kaum nutzen konnte. Da wir grundsätzlich im Urlaub nur frühstücken und zu Abend essen, hatten wir dort ständig Sonne. Zum Frühstück war die volle Sonne aus dem Osten und zum Abendessen gab es die volle Sonne aus dem Westen, weswegen wir folglich immer innen gegessen hatten. Insgesamt war es doch ein sehr angenehmer Urlaub.

Ruhig in den Bergen
Wir waren 8 Tage in der Finca. Da diese etwas abseits liegt ist ein Auto erforderlich. Jedoch ist die Umgebung traumhaft. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt da alles relativ sauber war. Die Einrichtung ist alt und einiges könnte erneuert werden. Die Küche ist im Großen und Ganzen zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Buena ubicacion, pobre comunicacion con el propietario
El alojamiento es decente, razonablemente limpio. Las camas un poco pequenas. La ubicacion es muy buena aunque debido a los incendios la primera noche la tuvimos que pasar en un hotel que tuvimos que gestionar por nuestra cuenta. El propietario nos ofrecio contactar con el si no encontrabamos alojamiento pero no nos dio ninguna solucion de entrada, salvo su pesar por lo ocurrido. La noche no nos ha sido devuelta a pesar de no haberla disfrutado (somos conscientes de que no habia ningun seguro pero el propietario tampoco se intereso por si lo teniamos o no). La comunicacion con el propietario ha sido mas bien nula, le enviamos un whatsapp preguntando sobre la fosa septica y todavia estamos esperando la respuesta. El Jueves paseando vimos una furgoneta vendiendo comida en la urbanizacion pero esto tampoco nos lo conto el propietario. Si lo hubieramos sabido habriamos comprado para ayudar a la economia local. El dia que entramos se ofrecio a traer las colchonetas para las hamacas de la piscina y nunca las trajo. En resumen, la casa esta bien, la piscina es grande y el jardin muy agradable. La plancha hace muy facil el plan de comidas. Accommodation is decent, reasonably clean. The beds a bit small. The location is very good, although due to the fires we had to spend the first night in a hotel that we had to manage on our own. The owner offered us to contact him if we could not find accommodation but he did not give us any input solution, except his regret for what happened. The night has not been returned to us despite not having enjoyed it (we are aware that there was no insurance but the owner was not interested in whether we had it or not). The communication with the owner has been rather null, we sent him a WhatsApp asking about the septic tank and we are still waiting for the answer. On Thursday we were walking and saw a van selling food in the urbanization but the owner did not tell us about this either. If we had known, we would have bought some products to support the local economy. The day we entered he offered to bring some towels and never brought them. We missed the mats for the pool hammocks, they were really uncomfortable. Summarising, the house is fine, the pool is large and the garden is very nice. The griddle makes meal planning very easy and quick. We'll come back to Costa del Sol next summer but unfortunately not to this villa.

Ha sido una semana de relax donde lo mejor ha sido la piscina y las zonas exteriores (lo que más nos interesaba) el propietario súper hospitalario y siempre dispuesto a ayudar en todo. No se podía hacer barbacoa por orden de la junta de Andalucía pero teníamos una plancha en el exterior. El pueblo muy cerquita y una zona muy tranquila.

Estupendo para pasar unos días de relax en familia.
La casa es estupenda. Está completamente equipada y climatizada. Hemos disfrutado mucho de la piscina y la privacidad ha sido total. No está permitido encender fuego, por lo que no se puede usar barbacoa, pero la plancha del jardín es perfecta para cocinar y no lo echas en falta.
