Tired Hotel/Great Breakfast
I wanted a hotel with free parking on the way to Calais after touring Flanders. The room was a little tired and the bathroom had seen better days. Beer on the terrace was good and breakfast the next morning was excellent. I forgot to phone ahead at I was arriving after 7pm, but the owner phoned to check that we were on our way. Good choice of TV channels including BBC!

Love it
Stay was nice although shorter than planned.. Hotel is lovely (looks like a castle) and each room looks like it's different. Breakfast was great, and couple who run the hotel were lovely and friendly. I'll definitely be coming back. Hotel is a good location.

Nice family run hotel.
Excellent stay with my girlfriend and daughter. Hotel had a genuine family run feel. Lovely owners and staff who accommodated its on our late arrival. Thanks very much for a brilliant stay.

Hidden jem!
After driving from Ieper, we arrived at 10.45PM and were met with a broad smile of the owner and an offer of a drink. Both rooms were generous in space, comforters, view and several bottles of bottled water (great for taking meds!). Our party of 5 (1-teen,1-mid twenty, 3-upper fifty woman) had a great night sleep. Breakfast had an abundance of choices including an egg! I like my egg in the morning!

We booked the hotel because it has a sauna and small spa (just in case for a rainy day) an when booking I supposed that the use of sauna and spa would be included in the price, which turned out not to be. We would have to pay over 60€ extra for private use for two hours. It is okay to ask a price for (the private) use but in this case it should be indicated before booking. And it wasn't clearly indicated, this was a little disappointing. Especially because when booking I clicked on "wellness" in the filter settings. And well, it is not a wellness hotel, it is sort of misleading. The rest was average.

Very nice quiet stay
The owners and staff are wonderful, extremely helpful and pleasant. My travels to Belgium were for a medical procedure at the hospital in Veurne (AZ Sint Augustinus). The road construction proved a bit inconvenient but, well worth the effort to stay. The food was very good, atmosphere delightful, quiet, my only wish was to have not traveled alone. Overall experience was fantastic and I plan to return.

Stop over on the way to centre parks in Holland. Very easy to get to , easy parking. Popped into the local village for dinner. Nice & Quiet after a rocky channel voyage

Remote but you will not be disappointed
Warm reception on a November night. Relaxing evening meal and good value. Quiet and peaceful night and a tasty breakfast. Value for money but in the country and nothing to do but go for a walk or taste the good selection of whiskey etc!!

Beautiful setting and convenient for the ferry
The building is beautiful in a very quiet countryside location and the room was very large but eccentrically and sparsely furnished. The towels need replacing as they are mis matched and small. There was no hair dryer. The room was clean and the hosts accommodating. Easy parking. Breakfast was okay but the restaurant was closed for dinner on the Tuesday evening.

Nice, rural hotel.
This is a very impressive hotel from the outside but a bid odd inside with modern, flat-pack furniture clashing with the gothic style of the exterior. Very hand for Ypres and breakfast buffet basic but tasty. Could and should be a 4 star hotel but you can see why it isn't.

A quiet rural hotel with a good outlook but close to the costal motorway great for overnight stops. Run by husband & wife? team who provide us a good service. No complaints.

Beautiful building in lovely setting
We stayed at this hotel for one night before returning home on the ferry from zeebrugge. The hotel was a lovely place in the countryside just what we like! Plenty of peace and quiet. We had a family room which was perfect for us and our 4 year old. The restaurant in the hotel served lovely food and the staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly.

So good, we we're back 4 weeks later ...
Great hotel. Very welcoming, fantastic food in the restaurant and great selection of Belgian beers. Excellent breakfast and exceptional coffees and hot chocolotes. We visited with family for a 30th birthday and enjoyed the hotel and the area so much we returned less than a month later for another birthday with friends. And we'll be back again soon. Also a great location for visiting Ypres/Ieper and Bruges. Thoroughly recommended.

It was easy to find the booking was wrong in that we had asked for twin rooms and were given double rooms. Having said this it was quickly resolved by the owners
