Excellent stay, but we needed transportation
The visit to this area was probably the most fun of our 11 day trip to Italy. The place with nice and clean. The bed could have been a little more comfortable, but otherwise, the rental was in a nice quiet and scenic spot. Restaurants do have shuttles to pick you up and drop you off. The beach at the bottom of Conca dei Marini was an awesome day. Long steep walk down and up to access the beach on paved steps, but well worth it. There is an excellent restaurant right on the beach, umbrellas to rent and sit under the whole day and cool water to swim in. Super fun. We had the most fun in this area, but, it was only because we had someone driving us around to get from place to place. Otherwise, it would be difficult for someone not used to driving in such narrow roads. Public transportation is not easy to obtain, again for someone not used to doing so in this area.

Good for short stay
This is an interesting place. it's WAY up high on the steep Amalfi coast, between Amalfi and Positano. These roads are extremely narrow and cars drive over the line and fast. It's very stressful driving. This is a great place on the one hand, because it is up high above the crowds, and quiet. But it is nerve wracking to get there. The yard and view of the sea is great. You are up very high, so in mid-June it was much cooler and foggy. The place is fine, and the host left us some food, drink, and fresh fruit, which we appreciated. The beds were fine for 2 nights, but are on the hard side.

Two days in Amalfi
Loved the Villa, The drive was a bit long down to the center of Amalfi, but the peace and quiet was well worth it. Pina was an amazing and responsive host. When i needed a last minute ride to the Darsena boat dock Gianni came thru in a pinch. Thanks again Pina, sorry we didn’t get to met face to face but until we met again Arrivederci

Nice place in poor location
Apartment was nice … pretty much as advertised. Very remote and quiet, with a good ocean view from patio. But because it is so remote—you must drive to everything. And the driving was horrible… very narrow winding roads with lots of traffic and no way for 2 cars to pass each other. It is a 20 minute ride down the mountain to Amalfi , where the traffic and congestion of cars, buses, motorcycles is crazy! And very limited parking once you get there. That drive really was a hectic way to begin and end every day. We finally left early and went to a Sorrento hotel - much better experience there.

Fantastic Stay
Our group of 4 really enjoyed our stay in Amalfi. Everything stated about the home and the hosts - Pina and Antonio - in earlier reviews rang true with us - they were great to work with, easy to communicate with, and gracious hosts. The home was spotless and in great shape. The town of Amalfi was about 20 minutes drive, and there are a few restaurants and stores just down the hill. We highly recommend La Piazza Da Nino - when we attempted to walk to Nino's place, we took a wrong turn and ended up pretty far away. The owners of the local market called Nino for us and he actually came and got us and brought us to his restaurant. (Ride home back up the hill too.) And the food was great. Overall the location was a unique setting and convenient for day trips around the region. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Pina and Antonio!

Very nice, clean place with a beautiful view
We had a wonderful time here at the Rose Garden. Rosa, the owner, and her daughter made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. They had a book with information on local restaurants, stores, hikes, and important phone numbers. Pina even had homemade tiramisu and limoncello waiting for us at our arrival! The place looks just like the pictures and was very clean and comfortable. Everything was in working order. The stove, wifi, and ac worked well for us. The place was stocked with toilet paper, soaps, lotions, dish soap, and laundry soap for our use. My husband and I came to Italy for a quiet, private holiday and the location was perfect for that. It is very quiet and peaceful at night and nothing woke us in the morning on the days we wanted to sleep in. The house is only a short 15 minute drive to the center of Amalfi, where we spent a lot of time shopping, eating, enjoying the beautiful church there, and hanging out at the beach. We absolutely loved our stay. Pina is a wonderful person and she made our stay unforgettable. I would much rather stay in a nice quiet place like this than a large, busy hotel. We found out that she is currently renovating another place and we plan on returning with our whole family. Thank you again Pina for a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing holiday!

Our little getaway!
Very nice place to stay with a very engaging host in Pina. She gave us great advice and even provided some transportation for us to do a Capri boat tour out of Amalfi. Upon arrival, we had homemade cake and refreshments. Having a private parking space for our car was a plus.

Awful experience.
This place is so remotely located that to get to it by car is most difficult even for an experienced driver. Once we reached the premises, we decided to only spend 1 night instead of the 4 nights booked. The gas did not work despite several attempts by the owner, the bathroom did not have toilet paper, etc, etc. We would not recommend it.

Over Looking the Amalfi Coast
Everything we were expecting. Sat in the yard and used the umbrella almost every day. Second bedroom is only accessible through the first bedroom but that didn't matter to us since we only used it to store our suitcases and change our clothes. We needed detergent for the dishwasher and the owner got it for us right away. Drove to Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello but roads are narrow and busy.

Great View
This is a very Charming apartment. The view doesn't get any better. It was a little confusing to get to as GPS doesn't allow you to land directly at the property. We were escorted by Pina and her son.... The rooster definitely crowed every morning. It didn't bother any of us considering the time difference for us. We found a great restaurant and bar, Gerry's pub. Awesome food. We loved Gerry. Grocery store right in the little village, and a path way down to the local Amalfi town and beach right there. We had to take taxi or bus back up. We were to tired to walk back up. We came at the end of the season so it wasn't very crowded. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

"The Rose Garden" really is this beautiful!
Sometimes, pictures let you down because the actual place is not quite what was depicted -- but "The Rose Garden" really is as beautiful as the pictures. The apartment was lovely and perfect for the three of us but it is designed to accommodate four persons comfortably. The owner, Pina, is a warm and generous host -- we liked her immensely. We did have a little trouble finding "The Rose Garden" but her son, Antonio, appeared at just the right moment to direct us. The car park is most definitely an asset -- without it, one would have to walk a distance and it is mountainous terrain, after all. In addition to the place and the view, the quiet was noteworthy -- the only noise was that of roosters crowing in the morning and the very occasional car. If you have never been to a mountainous coast, you may find the roads rather harrowing but we navigated them without incident. And the views from the roads are nothing short of breathtaking. That, of course, can sound, cliche-ish but truly, rounding some of those mountain roads and seeing structures perched on the very edge of high cliffs overlooking a spectacular sea can take one's breath away. We had leisurely mornings in the garden and then embarked on our travels to visit other towns on the Amalfi Coast. As wonderful as our afternoons were, we looked forward to returning to the quiet and beauty of "The Rose Garden" where we cooked dinner in a kitchen area that had everything we needed. After dinner, we sipped Pina's homemade Lemoncello -- a perfect end to perfect days. I cannot wait to return and I cannot recommend "The Rose Garden" highly enough -- and of course, it is in Italy. "The Rose Garden" is a little gem in a big gem of a country. Thank you, Pina and thank you, Italy. JL, Minneapolis

Beautiful home, fantastic location & wonderful host
We have just recently returned home from staying at The Rose Garden. Easy to find, Pina and her family were incredibly welcoming with a tasy chocolate cake for our arrival. The kitchen and living space was ample for four adults, both bedrooms comfortable with super quick wifi. The garden with its sea view was stunning, and we enjoyed BBQ's in the warm evenings. The peace and quiet in this area ensures a peaceful stay, with the local residents friendly and helpful. It is approx 20mins to Amalfi, Postino Sorrento, Pompeii and Herculaneum around 45-1hr which was not a problem at all as driving the Amalfi coast this time of year is quite easy and worth it. Do not miss Ravello either around 20 mins by car. Pina also kindly took us to Amalfi so we could catch the ferry to Capri, which was really kind. Overall I would really reccomend the rose garden, and will be returning again soon. Thankyou Pina for such a lovely holiday 😘 X

Lovely space, but make sure you have a car
We overall enjoyed our recent stay at The Rose Garden and would recommend it if certain factors improved. Pros: Gorgeous views, quiet neighborhood, cute neighborhood cats, short drive to cities along the Amalfi coast Cons: Located in a residential neighborhood far away from groceries or shops, access to public transportation is limited, no toilet paper provided, did not provide internet access as advertised, scary drive up the mountain Pina was a fantastic host and greeted us with a homemade meal, dessert, and limoncello upon our arrival. She was receptive and responsive when things went wrong (stove was broken, power went out twice, and lack of internet access). Not a single square of toilet paper was provided, unfortunately. The house has updated features and was clean otherwise. Pina informed us that there was to be no internet access during our stay, which was a significant problem for us because we would not have chosen this location if there was no internet access. It really put a damper on our stay because had to book travel, get some work done, etc. We felt very isolated, which was bad for us, but may be good for you depending on your plans! Make sure you have comfortable walking shoes because the nearest grocery store is just short of an hour-long walk.

Fabulous Outdoor & Indoor space and Hospitality
We stayed at this wonderful Apartment for 9 days with 2 young children in early April. It was perfect spring weather, sunny for all the days except one. We were welcomed by Pina and her family with a delicious homecooked meal upon our arrival. We enjoyed her hospitality throughout our stay. As for the Apartment itself, it is clean, it has a private parking space for 1 car, fabulous 180 degree views of the Sea with Sun throughout the day in case you want to lounge out in the private garden. Interior matches up with the exterior with a nice functional kitchen, 2 bedrooms, with one bedroom leading into another. There's a king size bed and 2 twin beds comfortable enough for 4 people, and there's a sofa bed which we never used. The beds and pillows were amply comfortable. The house is also equipped with a washer, a must have for us. As for the location, be aware that this is on the Amalfi coast high on the hills and you need a car to move around. The drive around Amalfi coast could be tricky if you are not used to narrow, winding, steep grade roads. From the Apartment, the nearest grocery/supermarket store is about 10 minutes, Town of Amalfi about 15 mins, Positano about 30 minutes, Sorrento about 50 minutes. Be sure to stock up before you arrive. There are quite a few restaurants in the nearby towns of Conca dei Marini, Amalfi and in Furore. We had the best pizza at "La Selva" in Furore and "Donna Stella" in the town of Amalfi. Mind you, most of the restaurants only make Pizzas for dinner.

Grazie Pina!!!
