Way too noisy
I only stayed one night and it was the loudest room I’ve ever been in. The walls are thin and I could hear stomping in the hallways and above me. I could even hear a man snoring and a dog barking. If anyone entered their room near mine, the doors would slam shut and my bed literally vibrated every time. I don’t usually complain about hotels but this was the worst night sleep on the road I’ve ever had and I had to drive 9 hours the next day. I left a few hours earlier than I had planned because I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. I was excited and exhausted when I got there but the middle of the night was awful.

We had an incident around 2 AM. There was smoke coming out on the fourth floor. The smoke alarms did not go off in one of the staff members was trying to identify what was going on however, this smell is terrible and we could not go back to sleep myself in my entire family, including my one year old I think I should get a reimbursement for this particular stay

Upon checkin I discovered there would be a fee of $40 per dog. I told her I wasn’t aware of it. Rather than use WORDS she pulled out a folder and pointed to a Travelocity printout that showed the fee. I found it in my Travelocity app but not in the fee section. It took a few clicks. I’ve never had to pay at a Holiday Inn before and I stay almost exclusively at these hotels. She said “you wanna go somewhere else?” Except I couldn’t because this booking was non refundable. Her coworker was coughing up phlegm right into her hands. The room was mostly clean except for the gooey substance on the night stand. I don’t want to know what it is. Definitely not Holiday Inn hospitality nor was it the famed Texas hospitality. Maybe change “pet friendly” to “pet barely-tolerant and irritated”.
