An old colonial villa carefully restored to keep the original character and to provide luxury and modern comforts.
The villa sleeps up to 6 people in three air conditioned bedrooms with four poster beds - two doubles (one with a queen sized bed) and the third with two single beds. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there is a living room, kitchen and a veranda for relaxing and dining overlooking the 40 foot long private swimming pool and the lake.
We offer a complimentary breakfast, filtered water, air conditioning, wifi and daily housekeeping. The resident chef and houseboy will be available to look after your every need. You will be able to order lunch or dinner from our reasonably priced menu and then relax on the veranda eating it, whilst enjoying the beauty of the garden and the monkeys swinging in the trees.
Near the South Western coast and the Indian Ocean and in probably one of the most beautiful regions of Sri Lanka, this is a large private property in the quiet village of Godahena with direct views over the 390 hectare Madampe lake. The landscaped garden contains many different types of trees and plants, including medicinal plants and tropical fruit trees. The immediately adjacent lake creates a unique biodiversity and there are a great variety of birds, wildlife, different types of vegetation and fish.
The villa is about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from some quiet and beautiful beaches.
Nearby Ambalangoda is a lively town with many things to see, including the famous mask factory and museum and an historical bell tower. Not far away can be found the longest reclining Buddha statue in South Asia, a moonstone mine and turtle and fish farms.
Close to paradise and an ideal place to totally unwind and relax - yet, only about 1 1/2 hours from Colombo and the airport (depending on the traffic).
