Exceptional service for dinner and Lunch. Thank you, Felix, for your attentiveness.
We were awoken at 3.58 am on a Sunday with blaring music next door. Literally 100+ decibels. We went for our tour after breakfast (incredibly, the music continued after we reported to management). On our return, we found that this continued because there was a "Church Service" next door. Chanting, "Talking in Tounges," and preaching continued until late afternoon on Sunday. The manager never gave us any feedback. There is an issue with the location of this church service in the quiet of a National Park Resort.
The bar/Lounge service was simply horrible for us. The service staff in this section were passive and unattentive. This is in sharp contrast with the dining section, where the service was exceptional. But I think this perhaps was just our unlucky day as the other guests seemed to have a great time.
The food was very good overall. Good value for money.
We experienced 16 power outages, lasting from 5 to 15 minutes each. While we eventually got used to them, it would have been helpful if we were informed about this normal occurrence in advance.
Forget using Wi-Fi in the cottages. (Well, for the ones facing Mt Kilimanjaro's side, at least.) Forget about hot showers in this section. Hope for lukewarm.
The reception staff is mixed—very good mixed with very bad.
