While I’ll say the location is very convenient and the staff are beyond great, the apartment I stayed in was less than ideal—for what I paid. First let’s start with the good. The apartment size is good—for Dutch standards. I liked having windows that opened and allowed fresh air. I liked having a mini fridge and small freezer compartment. I was able to go retrieve fresh towels when I needed and the location within 5 minutes walk to Sloterdijk is why I chose to stay here. Now the bad. The phone in my room never worked. I told the night crew, but no one ever stopped by to fix it. The wifi is public and not SECURE! Why is that important? Both my MacBook and iPhone constantly disconnected or gave errors citing it could not connect because it was not a secure connection. It took a small act of God to find an online article to try and resolve the issue—but still I never stayed connected longer than 4-6 hrs at at time (and I stayed 11 nights). The most reliable ‘fix’ was connecting to the TV screen share wifi. On that note, screen share only worked for YouTube. Not Netflix, not streaming music. I had to find a way to get to the Google Play store first to then get to my streaming apps. Pain in the butt!!! The TV in the bedroom was utterly useless as it was not connected to wifi so there was no streaming option—just local Dutch TV channels. The noise was a bit obnoxious too. No real instructions are in the apartment for most of anything in the room. If the rate is cheap, book.

Great space, good locale but NOT avail at check-in
The hotel accommodated our family of five well. We selected this property based on space, proximity to the train and one stop from central Amsterdam. We only had two days to explore. Please be advised that after a long day of travel to check in at 3pm, our apartment was NOT ready. The front desk offered an approximate 30 minute wait and provided five free drinks at their restaurant for our family. After an additional hour of waiting beyond the 30 minutes they decided to place us in another apartment & they said they would look to see what type of compensation could be provided. No one ever followed up w me. At checkout they offered me a keychain. It should be noted most shops, museums and bakery shops close in Centraal at 6pm. So, if you arrive at 3 pm and need to wait one and a half hours for your check-in, after paying a high premium for the space, you won’t have a lot of time to take the metro back for any real time to explore. This was a huge disappointment to us. We had a lot of luggage and needed to go to drop it off prior to visiting Centraal. Had we been given a realistic timeframe of when our apartment would be ready - we would have left our luggage at the front desk and not waited.

Great option!
We experienced a few small issues that were not the hotel’s fault but the staff was very quick to resolve them and ensure we were comfortable. There are a lot of scratches and stains on the sinks, dishes, and linens, but otherwise the hotel felt very clean and taken care of! The rooms are spacious and well equipped with everything you could ask for, and the location is very convenient to a large train station. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and good dining options nearby make this hotel a great choice despite its distance from city center.

We had an enjoyable stay. It’s handy to the rail and bus station and an easy trip in from the airport. Bonus was that we could do a full load of laundry there for around 7€. Helpful staff on the front desk.
