Noisy. Could hear all traffic, people yelling in the street all hours of the night. Had a balcony and could hear in my room with the door closed, the people on next balcony coughing talking etc. being a non smoker the balcony was not good due to the smell from people on other balconies smoking cigarettes and marijuana. Had booked a room with breakfast included but could not use on last day due to early flight. All they could offer is a bag breakfast to take with us to the airport. Wanted to have dinner at hotel the night before instead and just wanted a little bit of compensation to cover the breakfast missed. They would not do this due to having booked through Expedia. They Would have done it if I had booked the room directly through them they said.

Central hotel. Spotlessly clean. Quiet. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room and beds really comfortable. Easy to get to from airport. Train to central station then a tram which stops right outside. Canal trips, park, shops, restaurants and city transport on door step. Visitor attractions and museums walkable. Bar and restaurant comfortable to sit in at the end of the day. Beautiful Art Deco aesthetic. Highly recommend.

Nice property. We had a beautiful room which was spacious. Transportation via above ground train is right across from the hotel. A 20-30 minute walk from the Central Station. Hotel does offer car service (arrange with concierge) to the airport which was reasonable. Restaurant and cafe on premises as well as out door seating. Would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel. Overall great experience, they were welcoming. They speak many languages. They communicate in English well. The room was clean and the canal view was beautiful. It’s central to everything. But no matter what, it’s a walking city. My only issue was trying to rebook for an extra day. They tried to charge me double the original price of the stay, they said “that the capacity was filling up, so the rates went up.” I got another hotel for the day. When I checked later that night, the prices went back down and there was still vacancy. The price quoted was more than the one online. They should’ve gave me the original price seeing that I was there already and just wanted to extend for one more day. I think the person in all fairness was training and had little experience. Overall great hotel and beautiful city. I visited on a whim, and would gladly go back.

This hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Amsterdam. We had a balcony room over looking the canal which was amazing! Breakfast was great. The staff was able to assist us with any questions we had.

The hotel is situated in a good location and in walking distance to tourist attractions, train station, and dining options. The cafe downstairs was really nice. The staff was extremely nice and courteous. We had a pleasant stay.

Staff was very good. The daytime concierge went above and beyond for us…even on our last day we decided that morn to go to another museum. Then we talked to him about a taxi to the airport and how much time to leave etc. he not only arranged for a taxi to the museum, but for same taxi to bring us back to hotel, pick up our luggage and take us to the airport. It was a fantastic case of going way beyond. However overall I found the staff in the Cafe Americano restaurant off putting-not welcoming. Wait staff didn’t acknowledge us and went about their business of serving and chatting with other guests until I finally got someone’s attention…about 8-9 mins later. Restaurant was not overly busy for our first 20-30 mins but then got very busy with tea time. Only weird thing was our rooms on the Mezzanine level. Off the elevator we encountered 4 steps, no railing; then 1 step larger than normal no railing then 2 steps just before our room, no railing. I’m a little handicapped having had knee surgery and open heart surgery so brought cane with me and needed it because of all walking we were doing. In US there are laws about steps/railings so I’m used to it. But anyone could have easily lost their footing with nothing to grab on to so I’m surprised. Not sure if other floors were similar. I would stay there again but would ck using diff floors maybe.
