The Hotel is located in a great area. There are lots of attractions in walking distance. Although it is clean, it is very old. There is no elevator, and the stairs are very steep. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was difficult to carry just two pieces of luggage. The staff was nice, however, I had a situation that was not resolved. I accidently broke a small drinking glass in the bathroom, I paid 3 Euros, and I also noticed they charged my credit card as well. I called the Hotel and left a message for the manager but nothing was reimbursed.

Booked a double bed (10months in advance) but given room with twin beds. They moved us after the first night. Small room. No drawers or shelves so could only unpack hanging clothes. No drink-making facilities. Old Dutch house so extremely steep stairs. Little natural light in basement room. Staff very slow to replenish empty breakfast supplies. But very convenient location and very quiet street.

My room was on the first floor up a narrow flight of carpet stairs, the carpet was so worn and thread bare I slipped near the top of the stairs and slid on the way down to the bottom of the stairs and I am still badly bruised and in pain at my lower back. The room was very hot and tiny with no air conditioning or even a fan. There was no plug for the hand basin and no bulb for the bedside light, when I asked for spares they did not have any, There is no bar fridge the room and the vending machine down stairs was virtually empty and we I did buy a can of drink the machine it was lukewarm. They do not provide tea or coffee making facilities in your room and if you want one you have to go down stairs and pay €2.00 for one. The room size was pathetic I have been in bigger walk in wardrobes. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Another they blame Expedia for is you think you have paid full price with your booking, but then they hit you up for state taxes when you check in. I am not a happy customer.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Although, much like most European boutique hotels, it didn't have AC, the windows opened so it never felt too hot or stuffy despite the upper 70s - low 80s F temperatures outside. The staff was wonderful. I really can't say enough good things. The only hiccup we had, which really isn't the hotel's fault since they use a private comany, is that we paid €18/day each (3 people) to rent bikes and got 1km from the hotel to have the bike tire go flat. We went back to get another bike and the same thing happened again. After the 2nd time no one wanted to ride bikes anymore so it was a huge waste of €54.
