The room, as is usually the case in Europe, was very small. This isn't really a complaint, more of a warning - if you have a lot of luggage you may find it a tight squeeze

Great location. The room that we booked was extremely small - impossible to stand or walk without bumping into something. bathroom was even tinier. Make sure to visualize the square-footage of the room before booking. Room cleaning by request only and no shampoo or conditioner available. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Excellent Manager
Due to reasons not important here, we did not stay at the hotel. I am writing this review because the Hotel Manager was simply outstanding in helping us find another solution. He and the front desk personnel were professional, but went way beyond what they were required to do. I would go back to this hotel.

Great hotel, very clean and good facilities. We had a cosy double room so it was small but we didn’t need anything else and was expecting it to be small anyway. Breakfast was decent, not a lot of choice in the hot food (only scrambled egg, sausages, beans and bacon), though the continental food was of a good variety. They had a cool pancake machine where you just pressed a button and it made two fresh small sized pancakes for you (if you wanted more, then just press the button again) Overall, very nice hotel, would definitely recommend. Is a 30th minute walk from the Centraal Station

Overall a good experience but with caveats
Positives: comfortable bed, good imaginative decor, kettle, fridge. Negatives: lack of storage space, cramped ensuite shower room. Breakfast provision good but too busy to cope with number of guests. Crowded chaotic room, lack of available tables, some items running out. staff did best to cope. Eating one evening in Coffee Boutique was also chaotic - dreadful service, but Reception staff member intervened to eventually remedy situation. Reception staff professional and helpful. Entrance to hotel difficult with the number of steps, especially for older guests with luggage.

Super staff - they were all so friendly and helpful! The hotel is in a great location and you can walk to the Rijksmuseum and van Gogh museum in minutes, and only 15min walk to the main shopping street. But the hotel itself is not a 4* hotel. No amenities in the rooms except tea and coffee making, the pillows are incredibly uncomfortable. I asked for some basic toiletries and they don't have any except the soap already in the rooms. So, enjoy the hotel and the great staff and even a good breakfast, but there aren't any extras.
