Area is very good and easy to get about via tram. If you need water or food there is a Lidl across the road which is handy. Check in was easy as we landed late and on the day they give you a code to some key safes by the door. Major downside for me was they charge you €150 deposit before you arrive which is very cheeky! I've never had this at any hotel I've ever stayed in and as we were on a budget as it was this cut into our spending money and I wish it was clearer before at the time of booking because I would have looked elsewhere. I will say I did get it refunded back to my card that evening I checked out so didn't have to wait long to get it back but even still that's taking the Mick. The room.was very small but that was fine for us and the toilet was inside the shower but again that was fine. It was very very hot in the room and you can barely open the window and no fan was provided which would have made our nights sleep more comfortable. Overall I wouldn't stay again but the area is good and safe and the check in and out process was easy at least.

Terrible TV didn't work, Room was in the attic with no lift 5 flights of stairs to climb with luggage, window handle was broken couldn't open room was boiling hot air con machine was disgusting with dust/dirt couldn't use it 😞😞

Smallest room with no air conditioning unlike advertised. Gave €150 deposit on check in and told would get €100 back, when checking out the staff were not going to give us this back until I asked. Can shower and poop at same time though so that’s fun

What a horrible experience. The Hotel Max should be called the Hotel Bare Minimum. The clerk could barely speak English & had no interest in being helpful. Other than a poorly cleaned / maintained coffee machine there are no amenities whatsoever. There is no elevator & the stairs are small and steep. The double room literally barely fits the double bed & a tiny table with no chairs. There is zero storage for clothes or anything else. The lack of air conditioning would make it very uncomfortable above 27C. But the most bizarre & negative aspect to the room is the toilet being actually located in the shower. The shower head mount was old and hung the shower head uselessly. My request to have the shower head mount repaired was completely ignored. We terminated our stay after 1 night and absorbed the cost of the 2 additional nights to find another place to stay. We found the Catalonia and it was the best decision we have ever made.

Extra 150€ warranty deposit of what we had no idea. Also paid 4 different payments. City taxes, early check-in (25€), warranty deposit and rest of The room pay. No idea why these werent able to paid at once. Room was very small and narrow. Shower head was in so bad condition that water came out as one big stream. Low pressure as well so I wasnt able to put shower head on its Holder and I had to keep it on my hand.
