If you are looking for a hostel-like experience, this place is OK. But, don’t expect anything like a hotel stay experience. The shared bathroom concept was fine and expected. But, the overall feel of the place is that it’s pretty run down. The window in our bedroom was broken and didn’t shut all the way, so we had loud street noise. The room curtains were held closed with paper binder clip, the rooms and bathrooms weren’t that clean. The managment was very pleasant and helpful and they clearly care. The beds were comfortable enough, and the overall experience wasn’t bad.

This place had shared bathrooms 2 for every floor which wasn’t specified anywhere. They did oblige and charged me only for 1 night so I could go to a different place for the next day. It was a an unexpected disappointment

Staff were excellent but was not expecting common showers and restrooms. Too hot in room and was 77degrees Fahrenheit when we left with a small tabletop fan. Could not adjust thermostat. Fold up semi padded chairs with double size bed and not queen size bed. No paper towel to dry hands in common washroom. Bring your towels from your room.

Incredibly uncomfortable thin spring beds and pillows. Have to get water to drink out of a shared bathroom sink in the hallway. Shady neighborhood. Front door is always locked and kids running around that seem to live there. $150 is outrageous to charge for a place like that. Blows me away. Even for hostels.

Very affordable for a nice, clean basic room with no frills. Place has been cleaned up considerably since my last visit a few years prior. You won't get a mint on your pillow or a cute towel-folded animal on your bed, but you can't beat the value for a clean room.

You can't have guests. It's public bathroom not in the room, public shower that wasn't clean. Shady residents. Constant planes flying over the roof and for the most part constant traffic noise. Very noisy. And in my opinion one decent staff member that wasn't rude. It's as close to a prison and warden I want to get. Took the fun right out of being in Alaska.
