As soon as I walked into the lobby I was completely disgusted. Old, dirty, rooms with outside doors, etc. I asked for an inside hallway room.
I was booked for two nights. I had some trouble opening the door, but then IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. I slammed it a few times trying to close it, which made the man across the hall come out to see the noise. I apologized for disturbing him. I felt uncomfortable that he saw me and knew that I was traveling alone.
I also noticed that the room has a sliding glass door leading to outside, which made me feel quite unsafe. The room was filthy. I tried to make it work, but I decided at that point that I could not stay there. I made arrangements for another hotel for that night.
I returned to the desk, gave them my keys, told them about the door problem, and asked for a refund. I will contact Hotels.com and the hotel management about the refund. This property is AWFUL.
