The Goddard Place is located 5 miles East of Anna off of Route 146. We only have one cabin. It is close to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail and the Shawnee National Forest. Your cabin features a living area with a sleeper sofa (for the young ones in the family), a recliner, a 32' flat screen television with DirecTV and a DVD player. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, glassware and silverware. The queen sleigh bed, jacuzzi tub and lavatory complete the room. There is a shower and plenty of towels are provided. All you need to bring is your provisions!!

This adorable little cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway from the stress of daily life! So much charm and character from the log cabin feel to the decor and the jetted tub was really nice. It was very clean and seems well maintained. They’ve got everything you need including a binder full of information about restaurants and things to see and do. The backyard view of the pond was priceless; it’s so serene and peaceful. Drives were not bad to get into town or to find things to do. Highly recommend!!

Conveniently located, easy to find and private. The surroundings were beautiful! The hosts were very responsive, and the cabin had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. We slept very comfortably-a nice stay here!

Cabin was very cute and tidy. The pond added fun for some fishing.
The cabin was adorable. The grounds around the pond and the cabin were all neatly mowed. Pond gave us extra excitement for our short trip as we fished. Really enjoyed our stay in this great little cabin. It didn’t bother us as we read all the amenities, but there is no stove. Just know this. There is a microwave though. Also the DIRECTV has about every station you can possibly think of to watch.Including Pay stations. This is a 9 out of 10. Super relaxing!

Very happy with the cabin
Very please and enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the place. I will make a suggestion for the cleaner. My wife has a skin sensitivity and we have come accustom to using only soaps that have no smell. The bed linens and bath towels were washed with a scented detergent and for us was a bit too much. Other than that a great experience. Thank you for making a great place to get away.

This cabin is perfect for a couple to get away for a few days. Easy check-in and check-out, great location for hiking in Shawnee National forest. We had a minor issue with the heat in the cabin when we first arrived. After a text, Chris arrived within a few minutes and made sure everything was working. Definitely worth staying here !!
