In the heart of the interior Basque Country, the Zazpithurria gîte has taken place in unspoiled nature between the sea and the mountains. This gite has been built at the back of the owners' house, without any vis-à-vis. The charm of this old 18th century building, the calm of the large wooded park (fruit trees) will seduce you. Ground floor: Large entrance/dining/relaxation area opening onto the sunny terrace (garden furniture and barbecue). Floor: Kitchen area (hotplates, electric oven and microwave, dishwasher, fridge, Nespresso machine and filter coffee maker). Lounge area (TV, wood stove). WIFI connection. Cellar (washing machine, fridge-freezer). 2 bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds). 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. Cot and high chair. Beds made for your arrival (linen sheets). We couldn't have asked for more
The house was impeccable. It is evident the owners put a lot of effort and care in order to make the stay as comfortable as possible. It was equipped with everything you might need. There is plenty of literature and brochures with information on what you can see and do in the area. There are games for all ages. If you want to cook, the kitchen has everything you might need. And I mean everything, it was better equipped than our kitchen at home XD. And everything was in pristine condition, the sensation was that we were the first persons using everything in that house, even though they have been doing this for some years now; that is how good care they take of everything. About the owners, Steven and Caroline, I can´t even begin to describe how great they have been. They received us so warmly, so hospitably, and were so eager to help with anything we needed... They will restore any faith in humanity you may have lost in these troubled times. And it seems this is a common thing in the people of the area. Everywhere we have gone we have been received with nothing but kindness and the will to understand each other. So, if you want a calm vacation with plenty of nature, history and gastronomy on a turistically underexploited area, I really recommend this house. We have a 4 year old kid and usually I come back from vacations more stressed than I left. This time it was the opposite. The three of us came back home relaxed and happy for having had a wonderful time.
