Beautiful country house located only 5km from the famous lake of El Chorro in Ardales, in the well-known municipality of the province of Malaga.

Ardales is known for its prehistoric remains, castles dating back to the 9th century and the proximity to the base centre of the Caminito del Rey will make your stay at the "Casa del Abuelo" full of culture, adventure and tranquillity.

The excellent location of the accommodation will allow you to enjoy the tranquillity of a rural environment while still enjoying the comforts of a unique accommodation in its environment.

At the entrance you can enjoy a large space to park your vehicle, you will see as soon as you get out of the car, a pleasant and very private space with a swimming pool of 7x3 meters sheltered by a row of hedges that will give you an extra privacy.

From the outdoor kitchen, which houses a gas grill, barbecue and space to prepare your lunches outside, you can keep an eye on the little ones of the house in case they are playing in the children's area or taking a dip in the pool.

The comfortable sun loungers provided in the accommodation will allow you to enjoy the sun in complete peace and quiet.

Family meals outside will be very pleasant, the sun only enters this space in the morning, so you can enjoy a pleasant temperature in the shade.

As you enter the accommodation you have on your left an open plan kitchen with gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and a series of small appliances that will make your cooking much easier. To the right of this first space is the lounge/dining room where you can relax and watch TV. Its high rustic ceilings will provide in summer and with the help of the ceiling fans a very pleasant temperature.

The accommodation has two bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and a single bed and the other with a double bed.

Both rooms are very bright and have built-in wardrobes so that you can organise your luggage without any problems. In the room with the double bed there is a cot available.

The property was okay. Quite run down but fine for what we needed it for.

Our stay at la casa de abuelo
We have booked 12 nights but we have decided to leave after 3 nights. We did not enjoy our stay. The house and especaially the garden did not feel comfy at all, most things were not in a good condition, it looked like nobody has taken care of it recently. All toys were broken, not a good smell inside the bathroom, the beds were wore worn out, just to name a few things. While the view from the house was very beautiul, the neighbourhood was a little dodgy, there were some proporties with a lot of garbage on it, dogs barking all night. This is not what we have exprected seeing the photos on the website (especially for that price). The owner was friendly and reliable, however was not really interested in hearing our feedback. Instead he kept on saying that we did not feel well only because the whether, which is definately not true.

Tenía de todo,más de lo necesario así que todo muy bien aunque con dos problemillas, la piscina con agua siempre muy muy fría,y támbien que la electricidad se cortaba al encender el fuego de la vitroceramica al hacer de comer,esperemos que den solución para pa próxima vez ya que repetiremos encantados.
