Welcome to Sandy Sandal Cottage located on Argyle Shore of Southern PEI. This cottage is only 30 mins from the Confederation Bridge. Drive down the laneway towards the expansive views of the Northumberland Strait.
The Property:
Wake up, grab a coffee and sit on the deck and enjoy the water views of the Northumberland Strait. The cottage is steps away from the water so you can spend the day swimming, walking along the red sand beach, and searching for sea glass, hermit crabs, seashells, and starfish. Keep your eyes open for eagles, blue herons, seals and other local wildlife. Spend your evenings enjoying a campfire roasting marshmallows, playing games or curled up watching a movie with the family.
Groceries:
A short 20 mins away from Cornwall which has a grocery store, gas, restaurants, tree top trekking, Dairy Bar and more. From there it is only another 5 to 10 mins to COWs ice cream shop, Anne of Green Gables Chocolates, Boomburger and other restaurants and local shops
Beaches and Day Trips:
Take a scenic day trip around the island discovering all the many beaches, walking and biking trails, lighthouses and beautiful views. Take a trip to the North Shore (approx 30 mins) to enjoy all the fun adventures of Cavendish or the beautiful beaches. Drive into Charlottetown (approx 25 mins) for a nice dinner at some amazing restaurants, catch a show or enjoy the activities at the Harbourfront. Make a trip to Victoria by the Sea to visit Richards for a fish sandwich or water activities. The location of this cottage makes it easy to adventure in all directions of the island and be home for a relaxing evening.
Golfing:
Enjoy the 25 golf locations around the island. The cottage is centrally located so you can get to several locations with only a short drive. Some of the best courses in Canada are located on the island including Crowbush Cove, Dundarave Golf course, Glasglow Hills Resort and Mill River. Golfing closest to this cottage includes Countryview Golf Club, Clyde River Golf Club, and Strathgartney Highlands Golf.
Hiking and Biking:
PEI has the Confederation trail which 435 km which you can pickup at many locations around the island. PEI also has many Provincial and National parks with several walking trails for all levels of difficulty. Some trails close by include Bonshaw Provincial Park, Fort Amherst, and Strathgartney Provincial Park.
This location is perfect as it is central on the island and a peaceful place to come back to after a day full of adventures.
