We needed a place to stay for the night, we were driving back home from working in Fort Collins. This is a nice and quiet location. Room was clean and priced within our budget. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here again
This property was spotless. It has a park right behind it with a great walking trail to walk your dog. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are very spacious and decorated super cute. Bed very comfortable! We will definitely stay here again on our road.Trips from Missouri to california.
What a great place! Leah greeted us on arrival and was so kind and helpful. It is obvious that she has put a lot of time, energy, and love into the property. It is very clean and well kept. We stayed in the "prickly pear" room and the decor was wonderful! The motel is in a quiet area away from downtown but was still a convenient location for us to drive to all the places we wanted to visit. It is dog friendly and there is a lovely dog park next door.
We had a couple meals at the Pecos Trail Cafe right next door and the food was excellent. We had some nice conversations with one of the owners, who was extremely kind and welcoming.
My only complaints are that the woman at the front desk the next day seemed bothered and clueless when I asked her for suggestions on where to find a nearby ATM. Also, when we checked out the following day the man at the front desk wasn't friendly and just said "ok" when I dropped off our key. I would have told him how much we enjoyed our stay, but I didn't like his vibe. However, we still had a fantastic stay and would love to come back again!
This is an older property on “Route 66”. It remains well kept with modern upgrades. The front desk staff was very helpful. The restaurant on the left property was excellent. I like the location and will probably stay there again.
Absolutely loved this place. Met by a friendly gentleman behind the counter. I was a little worried driving to the room because the parking lot is in need of repair (good news, they are going to do so next year) but when we opened the door to our room, we were very impressed. A remodeled room with a king size bed, a kitchenette, large TV, wonderful decor, beautifully appointed bathroom, small dining table and one comfy chair. The only thing that was a concern was the rug on top of the tile. My wife and I slipped twice but never fell. I informed the front desk about the issue. They also had a beautiful pool but it closed the day before, its was 56 when we arrived in mid-October. Another plus is a restaurant on Property called Pecos Trail Cafe with a full bar serving very good New Mexican style Mexican food. We went for dinner and again for breakfast the next day. (They only serve breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays).
I am so happy I found Pecos Trail Inn. It was off the beaten path, so it was quiet and easy in and out. We ate at the Pecos Trail Cafe, which was great too! I will definitely be staying here next time we travel to Santa Fe!
It’s a lovingly restored and renovated 50’s era motor lodge. Perfect stop on our rte 66 cross country drive! The room decor is modern southwest - very tastefully done (loved the glazed Saltillo tiles throughout). Zia greeted us warmly and offered tips and advice. The restaurant right next door (not owned by the inn) was extremely convenient and had great food. A convenient park is next door and was perfect for our dog. Easy and quick to get into town. Would recommend this and gladly stay here again.
Our stay at Pecos Trail Inn was a pleasant surprise. You are never sure what you are going to get when you book older properties. Our room was clean, spacious and the decor was awesome! If we ever return to Santa Fe we will definitely stay here again!
Don't let the grounds deter you from a great place to stay, good value, spacious, updated, and nicely decorated room, adequate bathroom, and very comfortable bed. The owners plan to upgrade the parking lot. Very clean. We did not use the pool nor nearby restaurant, which is run by a local family and has good reviews. The ice machine also provides purified water. Pecos Trail Inn is on the south side of Santa Fe within a short drive to the old town area.
