We stayed for a week at the cabin. We had a large group of 29. There was enough beds to fit more if we had them. Overall we had a great time and the cabin served its purpose. Communication was great with the owners. We would stay again.
Pros
-The cabin is large, there were 29 of us and it didn’t feel like we were squished when we were hanging out and we could also get away from each other when necessary.
-Multiple kitchens was nice for preparing large meals.
-The property is older and “well used” so there are quirks and issues. This was a pro for us as we had lots of kids, we weren’t worried about them breaking anything, like we would be in a pristine cabin.
-Activities. Pool table, air hockey (table has issues), games, fire pit, tv. The cabin has an assortment of things to do indoors.
-Location, close enough to Yellowstone, fishing spots, and town. There’s a local pool and park a short drive into town as well as a grocery store.
-The room/bathroom layouts were nice. More than enough to fit multiple families without issue.
Cons
-No AC, not the end of the world, but something to be aware of as it does get warm during the day if there isn’t much of a breeze.
-The property is not flat. We wanted to play corn hole and badminton, but there was not a large enough flat area to do so. If your plan is do activities outside like us, you’ll need to go off site.
-The cabin is work in progress. Seems like there is external construction going on, some doors have issues closing, screens missing, internal door missing on the water heater closet. While these aren’t big deals, if you’re looking for a pristine cabin, this isn’t it. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it may be for someone else.
-Air hockey table bumper walls were coming off, that was frustrating as it is one of the main indoor activities.
-Hot water was warm at best.
