Centrally located in Assisi, it is no more than a 10 minute walk to all the sites in the town. The beds were slightly dated but comfortable. The showers were the best so far in our trip around Italy. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly.

The terrace view to the valley was extraordinary. Good breakfast in a very nice place. Nice dinner at the restaurant. Mattress in very poor condition, not comfortable at all.

Stayed 2 weekend nights in Assisi at this hotel. Beautiful view, close the Basilica of St. Francis. The breakfast buffet at this hotel was superb. The staff was helpful too. Would stay here again if ever in Assisi.

Dinner in hotel restaurant was a VERY prolonged experience probably because of large tour groups. It was our mistake for not anticipating slow service having seen the tour groups, and we’ll not make that mistake again in a hotel. We’ve been in Italy for over a week and have eaten at a number of restaurants with a pace in our meal that could be adjusted to our desires. Not so here. However, the hotel is quite lovely, our room superb, and the view fantastic.

The hotel bed was not completely made when we arrived. The bedside dressers were not straight. The bed was off a box spring with no cover other than a sheet. The service staff was inept. was terrible, and breakfast was ok. Outdated, and everything was ancient. The bed was hard rock. We had to ask for fresh linens and toilet paper. The view was the only good thing. The rooms were hot. They even try to charge me extra for breakfast when it was suppose to be included when I reserves the room.

The only good this about this hotel is the location/views. The property itself is dated. The AC in our original room did not work and rather than admitting it, the staff kept denying that it was broken. Finally at 2 am they moved us to a new room with working AC. That room, however, had bugs (ants) on the counter. When we told the staff, the manager said that they try to clean it but that we are in the countryside……as though this is a justification for bugs in the hotel room.
