All staff members we interacted with were pleasant and helpful, and we appreciated the harbor view from our 2nd-floor room. Our room itself was not in the best shape, however: there was an unappealing scattering of dark stains on the carpet as you enter the bedroom area, there were large handprints on the mirror behind the toilet which should have been removed in the last cleaning, the hair dryer was apparently broken (would not turn on even after multiple checks of the two GFCIs involved) and a loose, broken-off section of gutter was lashed to our balcony wall and blew around in the wind. On a separate note, AC outlets should be provided on both sides of the bed, not just one. The complimentary breakfast was adequate but far from inspiring. The hotel's location was very convenient to the events we attended, and it was a comfortable spot to return to in the evening.

Receptionist was very nice. Adequate well lit parking. Our room faced the harbour and the bridge, nice view. The walkway to downtown is right out front. The kids liked the idea of sleeping in bunk beds. Good size room for family of four.

Overall comfort, even if a bit dated
I'll be honest, this hotel was more rundown than I'd expected based on the photos and the price. If you don't mind dated furniture and the inevitable dingy look of anyplace at the coast, though, then this can be a great place. We especially loved the location: right on the marina with great views of the bridge. We could walk everywhere in town but were still removed from higher traffic areas. The location also felt very safe as the harbor police monitor the entire parking lot regularly. With a bit of a makeover, this hotel could be amazing, but that likely would come with the higher prices of other hotels in Astoria.

The property was simply run-down and outdated. The room was pricey for what we received. Two small bath towels and one washcloth for two people doesn’t work. The curtains were old and falling off the rod. The bed and pillows were wonderful! Marie in the breakfast room was very helpful, friendly and attentive. The check-in and check-out staff were great.

The property is dated and showing it’s age, while that might explain the door lock intermittent operation (lock failed to function correctly on multiple occasions allowing the door to be opened without a key) it doesn’t explained the the infestation. We began to notice bite wounds on our feet and lower legs after the first night and finally identified the cause as a flea infestation on the third night causing us to vacate the room before morning. While some of the staff expressed concern over the door lock and flea infestation, I did not speak to anyone that exhibited any formal training on customer satisfaction. When we left, I showed a video to the front desk clerk who stated that he couldn’t tell what the bug was in the video and it might be an ant, and at any rate it probably was brought in by a former guest. When I called back later in the morning and spoke to Thomas who identified himself as a manager, he said that he would send someone to check it out after I sent two videos along with photos of the bite marks. While I am not sure of the current condition of the door lock I and my wife are suffering the effect from flea bites and would definitely recommend that no one stay in room 260 without confirmation that the infestation has been removed. We checked in on August 13 and checked out on August 16, 2024.

Outside the and inside the room had flies everywhere, the hotel pictures are very misleading and make it look 10 times nicer than it is. Room felt dirty, and floor oddly sloped we left a day early.

We were delighted to discover the private balcony on our room afforded a fantastic view of the Astoria-Megler bridge and many interesting boats in the marina directly below. Also, staff at this motel were outstanding. When I left my purse in the breakfast room a staffer was dispatched to my room immediately to return it. I barely had time to notice I forgot it!

We stayed with a family of 4 at 280 a night. The room had a sewer gas smell around the bathroom. There was mold in the bathroom. Carpet was stained and felt damp in spots. The room had flies in it from the gaps in the screen door. The view was cool with the water and docks and all, but didn’t make up for the noisy room and general run down feeling. We booked 2 nights only stayed for 1 night and found a nicer place further down the coast. This place felt like a spot for fisherman to party in the parking lot at night and go fishing in the early morning.

This place was horrible! I'm shocked they haven't been closed due to conditions. Mildew and mold in the whole unit, broken tiles with chunks missing in the bathroom, mold on the lamp shades, chairs moist and smell of mold, refrigerator on the floor has rust from how long it has been sitting wet, shower pressure was so hard that it actually hurt my youngest, peeling ceiling in the shower due to mild behind it and the floors are constantly wet. They did protect the mattresses with covers but I unzipped them the next morning because I had an asthma flare and there was mildew on them. Talked to the morning supervisor and he said because I booked with a third party that he can't do anything and blew me off. While yes I want my money back, I want them to fix this. It's not right that they are still selling these every night.

If you’re considering this property, reconsider! Damaged building, rotting deck boards, mold in bathrooms, bugs galore and staff who didn’t care. Attempted to find another hotel but all were booked due to numerous events around the area. The building is missing gutters, has doors patched with pieces of wood, a hole in the east side building that’s half ass repaired. The local motel 6 looked nicer. Don’t do it!!!

If you are considering this property I strongly recommend you don't. It was four times the normal price and was dirty, very out dated and I would not let kids out on decks for fear they would collapse. Travelocity was very unhelpful when trying to address the problems.

The view from the room was really peaceful. The property is a bit run down but satisfactory nonetheless. Limited options for dining within walking distance so we got a few extra steps in rather than get back on our motorcycles after a day of riding.
