This is an older property and could use some updating. However, for a one night stay for the Georgia game it is sufficient. Friendly staff, and clean conditions.

It was game day. There was no shower curtain in our room. When I phone and asked them for one I was told I’d have to come get one in The Morning. I didnt expect much and was disappointed.

I went to get checkin the guy at desk try to act like my card was declined i knew that was a lie i think he was prejudice he was very rude so i left and i would prefer thats they does likes blacks ppls at all b4 i was next in line to be help he goin say aint no new arrival available how rude kind u be to a black person but u just checkin a Hispanic b4 me how rude and unsatisfied to a customer bcuz of they skin color i would suggest to blacks ppls not to go there bcuz i was denied service bcuz of my color again how rude

The lady and the guy that worked the desk greeted me with big friendly smiles every time I saw them. They engaged in cheerful conversation. I mistakenly left my card in the card reader and the guy at the desk called up to let me know. Talk about great service! Many folks would have kept it. Being a clean freak I brought cleaning supplies, but my room was spotless, save for a little light dust. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I got the best sleep I've had in months! Other than the fact that the hall faintly smelled of natural gas and mold everything was perfect. But then I have a super sensitive nose, I smell things other people don't. I did buy two mini humidifiers to use in the room and will take an air purifier as well next time. All in all the places is great, even the cleaning staff was polite and very on point with making sure I had towels and keeping my room clean and stocked. It was quiet and safe, with easy free parking. I will definitely be staying there again. To all the great people there at sleep inn and suites in Athens, thank you very much! My stay was so great I was actually sad to leave.

The outside of the hotel was dingy and needs pressure washing. The pool and gym were both closed during my stay with no explanation as to why. Staff and cleaning crew were great. Room felt clean and received turn down service one time.

The room I checked into had no AC. It was so late at night and tolerable, I stayed. I called the front desk and told them the situation. The next day I called again and got my room switched. It was perfect!! It had working AC, smelled better, and a nicer/cleaner room than before. The staff was amazing! Very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to change my room.

I stripped the bed sheets for them and seen i had been laying on Something that looked like I needed to be upholistered. A huge stain. It qas disgusting. My daughter said the pool was so foggy you couldnt see. Then the sink qas stopped up. I tried to even unclogg the sink myself. There was all kinds of nasty stuff. We called and asked for someone. She stated matnience was gone.

Our two night stay was as expected, however i must say the beds, pillows etc were very comfortable and breakfast provided a good assortment of options and was fresh. We tried the indoor and had no issues. I will recommend it based on this experience.

Two-Day stay
Check in went smoothly with Daniel. Unfortunately later that night the air conditioning went out in our room but Daniel switched us to another room as soon as we let him know (Daniel was awesome). Then the second room, one of the beds was broken (which was alright because we only needed one), but then the cable went out pretty early in the evening and was out until the following morning. They do have a pool though it is only 3 foot and pretty small. But overall it was a nice stay for what we needed it for.

Not our favorite place at all by far.
Front desk staff had dog at the desk with them and were very unenthusiastic about helping us. Also, the pullout bed was covered in urine and they didn't have any sheets or blankets to fit it available. Very run down hotel.

Not the best we have stayed at.
Although we were just staying overnight, we would have loved things to work. The room was very dark, the alarm went off on the clock and could not fix it. Just unplugged it. TV Channels said they were there but were not. Guide scroll but won’t let you choose. The bed was so soft it was difficult getting out of the bed. You really should rotate the bed. Breakfast was the worst of any Choice hotels. Room was clean so that was a plus. We will not be staying at that one again.

Air conditioning was very noisy. The bathroom could have used a good scrubbing, but I always carry disinfect wipes when I travel so I was able to make do.
