The common areas were definitely substandard, but the room itself was very clean. I stayed here out of necessity for Hurricane Helene while I was in Georgia for work. I would normally not stay at a Motel 6 property, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the room. If you need a place to stay at a very low price-point, this is your place. No frills. Just clean.

I checked my car every 15 minutes
I parked in the broken glass of a previous vehicle’s broken window. The environment reeked of pot. I had to return to the desk 3 times to find my room and get a working jet. The really kind guy offered to walk with me to make sure I found it and got in, but the motel was so sketchy that I had to let him know it seemed creepy. No doubt he was just showing customer service, but it’s the kind of place where you look for hidden cameras.

Not as nice as the scores indicate
Most of the 1st floor is under construction. I was on the 3rd floor and the man behind the counter (you interact through a “ticket window” as the lobby is closed provided no directions as to which stairway would be best. He made me feel as though I was bothering him by checking in. The bed was clean and comfortable. The TV was fine, although the remote was broken. The toilet was crooked, making it uncomfortable to sit on. The tub had a horrible ring and the bathroom floor was stained and looked like it needed to be mopped. The paint on the walls was poorly applied and needs touching up. It is inexpensive.
