Location to restaurants and shops is great. A little hilly if you’re unfit but otherwise really convenient. Car parking is a little tricky and costs a bit per day but that’s the price you pay to stay in the heart of the city.

Worst stay ever. From our first room being musty and obviously leaking to being told they would mediate in 10 mins. Then taking over 2 hours to assess the problem then move rooms. To be offered breakfast which isn’t then communicated to the restaurant, to our car taking 40 minutes to be valet returned. 1/10.

Hotel very central, but you should know that there is a lot of road works around the area that makes it difficult to get around if driving a car. Staff pleasant and polite. Car parking is off site - you can park the car yourself for around $40 per night or pay $55 for valet parking. Doesn't take long for them to collect your car when leaving. The room itself is very simple, but clean. Auckland city centre does not feel safe. You definitely need to have your 'wits' about you when out walking around. Would stay here again if I had something on in the city.

When I arrived I had to wait several minutes while another guest checked in first. I was not spoken to at all during this time by the receptionist. Not even to say she would be with me in a few minutes. I was completely ignored. When she did check me in, she never explained to me that I needed to use my key card to access my floor number on the elevator. And she wasn't very friendly and didn't even smile. I was unimpressed. And there was no soap by the hand basin in my room. I had to use the soap dispenser in the shower to wash my hands at the hand basin. I would expect there to be soap by the hand basin when staying in a king deluxe room.

Great location.
I felt the young girl on the front desk was just going through the motions. The location is great. Close to Queen Street and Sky City. The wharf is a short walk away. We were disappointed our room wasnt cleaned each day and to find long dark hairs on the floor. They werent ours. We would have been happy to reuse our towels but there was no towel rail in the room. The bed was comfy and the shower was great.
