The track begins in Milford, which is just a short distance away, and winds its way around to Takapuna, covering a distance of 2km (1.25 miles). The track is directly in front of the house, making it an ideal starting point for those looking to enjoy this scenic walk.

As an added bonus, the house is situated at around the halfway point of the track, which means that guests can easily explore either direction of the walk and take in the stunning views along the way. Whether you're a keen hiker or simply looking for a relaxing stroll along the coast, this property is the perfect base from which to explore Auckland's beautiful coastline.

We offer contactless self-check in. This enables you to arrive when it suits you. Standard entry is from 3pm.

A Few days before you arrive you will be sent a unique door code to enter into the digital keypad. Once at the property the entire place is all yours.

Unlike other famous beaches on the North Shore, Minnehaha Beach is a serene beach between Milford and Takapuna Beach. Thanks to it being accessible only on foot, Thorne Bay has a very unique atmosphere and is perfect for relaxing.

The surrounding neighbourhood is known for its beautiful homes, bustling cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. The area is also home to several parks and reserves, including Takapuna Beach Reserve, which offers stunning views of Rangitoto Island. Additionally, there are plenty of recreational activities to enjoy, such as water sports, cycling, and hiking, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.

This property is conveniently situated for easy access to all that the surrounding area has to offer.

In terms of transportation, the Auckland Airport is approximately 30 kilometers or 18.6 miles away, which is about a 35-40 minute drive, depending on traffic conditions.

The Auckland Central Business District is around 11 kilometers or 6.8 miles away, and can be reached by car or public transport in approximately 20-30 minutes.

As for Takapuna, the property is located in this popular coastal suburb, and is within easy reach of the local shops, cafes, restaurants, and attractions. The distance between the property and Takapuna is approximately 2.5 kilometers or 1.5 miles, which can be reached by car or on foot in around 5-10 minutes. Enjoy the coast line walk from the house to Takapuna beach cafes.

Cleaning Fee:
Our house is cleaned thoroughly, and we have disinfected our bathrooms, kitchens, and major touch points like light switches, doorhandles, tabletops, electronics, appliances, and control panels. Please contact us if you’d like to know more about how we’re protecting your health.

Furthermore our cleaning fee includes the restocking of essentials such as toilet paper, soap, conditioner, coffee etc. The sheets and towels that we use are commercial high quality hotel standard linens which is guaranteed to be clean, sanitised, fresh and pressed.

If when you arrive something isn’t up to your standard, we are available 7 days until 10pm and will go above and beyond to ensure your home is sparkling clean.

To ensure a safe and secure experience for both our guests and property owners, we partner with Truvi for a quick and seamless guest verification process. This takes only a few minutes to complete and also includes an option between a small waiver fee or authorise a security deposit - which will cover any accidental damages during your stay. Once this process is complete, you will receive all check-in instructions two days before your arrival.
Please respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum after 10 PM. Smoking, vaping, and drug use are strictly prohibited on the property. We kindly ask that you treat the space with care and do not exceed the number of guests permitted for your stay. Parties or events are not allowed unless prior approval has been obtained before your booking.
