The actual stay was average. There are currently only 2 elevators and we were on the 19th floor. The elevator stopped at nearly every floor going down and everyone in the elevator would get frustrated . I asked about having breakfast included at check in and was told just to make a booking with any restaurant. We heard other people being told that breakfast was on the 7th floor. I left my wedding band and engagement ring in the bathroom. We called the hotel the next day and was told that we would get a call back shortly…we never did. We went there physically and the same man who didn’t give me information regarding breakfast ( possibly the manager for the night shift) told us that the rings would have been recorded by housekeeping and the room was occupied so they couldn’t check. He took our details and said someone would give us a call first thing. We did not get a call in the morning so we went physically there again. The manager on shift on Labour Weekend was more helpful and told us that the room had not actually been occupied the night before so the night manager could have looked into it further. We got my rings back. But it was frustrating and disappointing that the night manager wasn’t helpful. The rings have a sentimental value and we could have gotten them back the night before and I could have stopped stressing. Very disappointed with the customer service. If we did not go there physically two times I don’t think we would have received a call back.

Very close to the casino and not far from the cruise port. The bus terminal is nearby with a reasonably priced shuttle service to the airport. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean and quiet.

At check in was advised I had two reservations. They kept repeating the same thing over again (5 times) while I was attempting to verify on the internet which is not available in the lobby. Had to go to the room, pull up a screen, go back to lobby, back to room, pull up screen, back to lobby, repeat ———.

We stayed two nights at the grand, we were woken up around 8am with the cleaners vacuuming the corridor outside our room. We then went out and returned around 3 pm our room had not been serviced so we then asked a member of staff for some clean towels which we got, they said they would return and service the room at 5 pm so we went out early, when we returned around 9 pm the room had not been touched. We rang reception and complained and they offered us a free drink but looking on my receipt for the room they have charged us for. The elevators in the hotel were just about useless. We had valet parking, when the member of staff brought our car to us she just about ran over the bollards outside the hotel. I’ve never been so glad to get out of a hotel in my life and they claim to be a 5 star hotel absolute joke.
